Ex-Wales captain Gareth Thomas in Pembrokeshire panto
The Big Pembrokeshire Pantomime has announced that former Wales rugby captain Gareth Thomas will join the cast of this year's production of Aladdin.
Mr Thomas will take on the role of the genie in the show.
The rugby legend, who earned 100 caps for his country, will be bringing his larger-than-life personality to the pantomime stage this December.
He will join Drew Baker as Widow Twankey and Tom Dyer from Pure West Radio as the villainous Abanazer.
The Big Pembrokeshire Pantomime team said they were excited about welcoming such an iconic Welsh sporting hero to their production.
A spokesperson for The Big Pembrokeshire Pantomime said: "We are absolutely over the moon to have Gareth Thomas joining our pantomime family.
"Gareth is not only a national treasure but also has the charisma and stage presence that will make him a perfect Genie.
"His addition to our cast brings a whole new level of magic to what was already shaping up to be our most spectacular show yet."
Mr Baker, who will direct the production alongside his role as Widow Twankey, said: "Working with Gareth is going to be absolutely brilliant.
"He brings so much energy and enthusiasm to everything he does, and I know audiences are going to be utterly spellbound by his performance.
"The chemistry between our cast is already fantastic, and I can't wait for everyone to see what we've got in store – it's going to be our biggest, boldest and funniest pantomime yet."
Aladdin will run from December 10 to 31, 2025.
