The Boston Celtics looked poised to repeat as champions

The Boston Celtics looked poised to repeat as champions The Boston Celtics looked poised to repeat as champions given the way they have been playing to end the 2024-25 NBA regular season. The Celtics won their first six-game road trip in the history of the storied franchise as the season began to wind down (and that is no small feat if you look at all the things Boston has accomplished over the years), and are ramping up their intensity and focus at exactly the right time. Is Banner 19 coming to Boston this summer for a repeat performance of a Duck Boat parade? The hosts of the CLNS Media "The Big Three NBA" podcast, A. Sherrod Blakely, Gary Washburn, and Kwani Lunis took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over. Check it out below! NBA All-Star Jayson Tatum recalls a funny story about Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

The Boston Celtics are the defending NBA Champions, and they are looking to defend their title this year, similar to the objective of last season's Kansas City Chiefs. During the latest episode of New Heights, NBA All-Star Jayson Tatum recalled a story about a recent game in which Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla discussed a unique moment between Travis Kelce and Andy Reid. "We actually talked about you. We played Portland the other day, and I got a tech. The game was basically over; I ended up getting a tech with like 30 seconds left." said Tatum, "Joe (Mazzulla), he comes up to me after the game; if you get 16 or 17 techs, you get suspended for a game, so Joe's like, 'Yo, can you just get four more so you can get suspended?', 'I would much rather you just come punch me. I wanna fight. I would love to fight. When Travis Kelce ran into Andy Reid, do that to me. Do that to me." During Super Bowl LVIII, Kelce had a memorable sideline bump with Reid during a heated conversation. The fallout of the moment was played down significantly after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers, and both men joked about the situation. The Boston Celtics are playing like champs in their recent trouncing of the 76ers

The Boston Celtics have showed they are playing like champs in their recent trouncing of the Philadelphia 76ers, and it is not just fans of the storied ball club taking note of the Celtics' late-season transformation. Boston has been rounding into postseason form as the roster has gotten healthier and their key players -- star forward Jayson Tatum in particular -- have begun to play like the defending champions that they are again. One such league analyst taking note of the Celtics' contention clean-up is the eponymous host of the "Hoops Tonight with Jason Timpf" show. In a recent episode, Timpf gets into what he saw from Boston in their recent, blowout win over Joel Embiid and the Sixers. Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what he had to say. Boston Celtics jersey history No. 11 - Sasha Pavlovic (2011-12)

The Boston Celtics have had players suiting up in a total of 68 different jersey numbers (and have three others not part of any numerical series) since their founding at the dawn of the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- the league that would become today's NBA), worn by well over 500 players in the course of Celtics history. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Celtics Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. With 25 of those jerseys now retired to honor some of the greatest Celtics to wear those jerseys, there is a lot of history to cover. And for today's article, we will continue with the 23rd of 29 people to wear the No. 11 jersey, Boston wing alum Sasha Pavlovic. After starting his pro career abroad, Pavolvic was picked up with the 19th overall selection of the 2003 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz. The Bar, Montenegro native would play the first season of his pro career with the Jazz, as well as with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks, and the (then) New Orleans Hornets (now, Pelicans) before signing with Boston in 2011. His stay with the team would span parts of 2 seasons before he'd be moved to Portland Trail Blazers as part of a three-team deal in 2012. During his time suiting up for the Celtics, Pavolvic wore only jersey Nos. 77 and 11 and put up 2.4 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. Listen to the "Celtics Lab" podcast on: Apple Podcasts: Spotify:
