Lottery player turns $5 into life-changing prize at Florida 7-Eleven. Here's where
A lottery player's $5 ticket sold at a 7-Eleven in Florida ended up winning him a $1 million top prize. Dwayne Croft bought his scratch-off ticket in The Cash Wheel game at the gas station convenience store chain at 14068 Narcoossee Road in Orlando, the Florida Lottery said Feb. 25. Croft scratched his way to one of six jackpot prizes, beating the 1-in-2,963,170 odds, according to lottery officials. Only three $1 million prizes remain in the game, which debuted in August. The 60-year-old Orange County man claimed his winnings in Tallahassee as a one-time payout of $605,016, the Florida Lottery shared. Meanwhile, the 7-Eleven received a $2,000 bonus for selling the lucky ticket, lottery officials said. Another Florida Lottery player is holding onto a $1 million ticket after a Powerball ticket sold at a Publix in Naples hit a second-tier prize in the Feb. 24 drawing, McClatchy News reported.
