Leisure facilities at shopping centre back open after power failure
Leisure facilities at a Bury shopping centre were temporarily closed tonight, Saturday, February 15, due to safety concerns.
The leisure block on The Rock in the town centre had shut earlier this evening due to a lighting failure.
This had impacted 12 units including Hollywood Bowl, Vue Cinema and The Chinese Buffet.
The issue was first flagged at around 3:30pm and engineers worked to resolve it.

It is believed that other stores on The Rock were impacted, with one shopper reporting that they arrived at East-Asian-inspired lifestyle shop Kenji this afternoon to find it was unexpectedly closed.
Power was restored at around 7.30pm and the leisure facilities were re-opened.
A spokesperson for The Rock shared: "The power has now been restored. Our leisure block is now back open.
