UFC 314 Preview and Prediction: Bryce Mitchell
Bryce Mitchell Tomorrow night on the main card of UFC 314, we are going to see a highly anticipated featherweight matchup with a ranking on the line. 13th ranked Bryce Mitchell (17-2) will look to defend his spot in the top fifteen against the Fighting Nerd's standout Jean Silva (15-2). Advertisement Bryce Mitchell returned back in December and took on Kron Gracie after taking a year off. Mitchell stopped Gracie in the third round with a vicious elbow. Mitchell had taken a year off after getting knocked out by Josh Emmett. Thug Nasty is 2-2 in his last four fights, but the two losses came against Emmett and Ilia Topuria. Despite going 8-2 in ten fights inside the octagon, Mitchell is a big betting underdog tomorrow night. That's because the hype behind Jean Silva is real. Silva earned a contract on The Contender Series back in 2023 and has gone 4-0 inside the octagon. During his run, he's stopped Drew Dober and in his last fight, he knocked out Melsik Baghsasaryan. After the knockout, he called for Bryce Mitchell and the UFC made it happen. UFC 314 Prediction Jean Silva really showed me a lot in that last fight in terms of his striking. His striking was incredibly powerful and his striking was very crisp. He's going to have the striking advantage tomorrow night, but that's not a surprise. Bryce Mitchell is known for his grappling and that's his path to victory tomorrow night. Advertisement Silva was taken down by Charles Jourdain, but he stayed composed in that fight and worked his way up to his feet where he ultimately knocked him out. If he's able to defend takedowns or get back up quickly, I think Mitchell is in a lot of trouble. I personally think the odds should be a lot closer than what they are, but I still like Jean Silva at UFC 314. I think the striking is really going to play tomorrow night and he's ultimately going to touch up Bryce Mitchell and I think this fight doesn't go the distance. Prediction: Jean Silva by TKO Related Headlines
