Will Paris Saint-Germain win Champions League again next year?

Will Paris Saint-Germain win Champions League again next year? | The Cooligans Yahoo Sports contributors Christian Polanco and Alexis Guerrero take an early look at the top teams in next year's Champions League. Hear the full conversation on the 'The Cooligans' podcast - and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or wherever you listen. View more Video Transcript The season is now officially over with Champions League being decided. Advertisement So let's look forward. Let's take a look at some of the clubs, some of the big clubs that have qualified for next year's Champions League, and decide what it is that they either need or what it is that they should be looking forward to. Let's start with the winner, PSG, Christian, what are you thinking? We might have a back to back Champions League winner because PSG were so unbelievably. And and it's hard. A 5-0 result makes it like, were PSG that good or were Inter Milan that bad? And I think it's a it's a mix of both of those with the, the dominance they showed the confidence of not just their, you know, quote unquote star players like even the, the, everybody contributed. Advertisement Enrique is the new pet. I think he is ushering in a new style of football, a new era of football, right? Inter Milan, obviously. Loss in the in the final, you have to apologize. It is that bad. This is a scar that will follow them forever. Liverpool fans obviously wanting to win the Premier League for a long time. They won a couple of years ago and now I think they can win it all. Winning your domestic league and then winning these cup competitions require different mindsets, different preparation. You have to have the consistency to finish, uh, uh, you know, to win. Uh, during the season they seem like they're gonna be a stronger squad than last season that they, that this is their opportunity to win it all. Advertisement Yeah for me it's proven bappe damn, you moved from PSG access, bro. I need to get out of here. I can't win with y'all fools. And then you're holding me down, man. I need to, I need to breathe a little bit, bro. I need to lift trouble. Oh, you won the lottery. And then nothing. And then they win. Arsenal, why don't you go first? I'm gonna say, look, simply put, sign a striker and then talk to me because there is not much else. I think they had a great Champions League run. They, they faced APSG that we saw how dominant they were. The, the quality was just a little too much for Arsenal, but I. I think Arsenal that far behind. Advertisement If, if they're not gonna do uh some work this summer to sign a, a, a, a real game-changing striker, don't talk to me. Don't, I don't wanna hear about your ambitions to do whatever. Convince players to sign for your team. Tell them about the project, get them excited, and they should see you as a uh uh a contender.

Hear the full conversation on the 'The Cooligans' podcast - and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or wherever you listen. View more Video Transcript The first one here, Cristiano Ronaldo has left Al Nasser, and uh where should he go? Advertisement Uh, to, to, to, you know, play in the Club World Cup, hopefully, and, and, uh, yeah, which, which is his next team here. So here's the interesting detail for the Club World Cup teams are allowed to sign players for just 3 months, including MLS clubs. Yes, so they can sign free agents to play in the Club World Cup and uh and then so this is where, so it'll, my guess is I'm sure FIFA is like, hey, Christiane, you, I know you, I mean. You know, Pachuca's great this time of year, you know what I mean, like, no, no, no, if we're gonna do it, let's do it. In Miami. I mean, what are you talking about? In Miami, try to be mildly Christian Pachuca Inner Miami signs Cristiano Ronaldo to play along Messi for the first time in history. Advertisement It's free for the whole world on his own. If you're going to do it, if you are who you say you are, FIFA, you make this happen. I'm not even a Ronaldo guy, but you want the world to care about this tournament, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Me. See on David Beckham's inner Miami with 100 million on the line. I mean, who's gonna take papicospa? No, that's not happening. Let's not go crazy. Let's not get crazy. Some, yeah, somebody else. Uh, yeah, all right, we'll see. I, but I, I think it'll be a Club World Cup team, and I think he'll be playing in the C World Cup.

Who has the advantage in UEFA Champions League Final? | The Cooligans Yahoo Sports contributors Christian Polanco and Alexis Guerreros preview the UEFA Champions League Final matchup between Paris Saint Germain and Inter Milan and give their predictions on who will come out victorious. Hear the full conversation on the 'The Cooligans' podcast - and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or wherever you listen. View more Video Transcript Who wins this game, at least based on, uh, tactically, uh, two good managers, right, because you've got Inzagi who's like very futuristic as far as his tactic as far as his tactics are. Advertisement I think a lot of teams are gonna be playing like Inzagi Zinta in the next 2 to 3 years because He loves to mix it up. Positions are not important. Being able to handle your position on the pitch is important for these players. And then you got Luis Enrique, which molds his team based on the, the team they're playing. He will adjust to get an advantage over the team they're playing. He is that much of a, they're both. Masterful tacticians, they're both masterminds. They're both playing chess at a very high level. It's so much so that I couldn't tell you who has an advantage tactics wise. I think maybe PSG walked into this a little bit more because you're not really 100% sure exactly how they're gonna, I mean, you know how they're gonna sit up, but you don't know who's gonna hurt you. Advertisement Where when it comes to that, you kind of understand like this is gonna be Bedlam, but for the most part. If you can get Laudro Martinez or Toram in space, you're in trouble. Yeah, based on the lineups, you would think like the PS Luisianica has the the quality on his side. He has a talent advantage. I do think so. Um, but there's just something about Inter Milan this Champions League season that is the belief, the faith that they have in themselves, and and I would give that to PSG. Uh, as well, but In has have always managed to figure out the, the, even if they are up against a more a dominant opponent like, like Barca, they, they just find a way. Advertisement And that's my slight feeling is that they're just gonna find a way again. I guess I kind of see where you're, where you're, where you're coming from, but at the same time, man, PSG wasn't even supposed to be here, bro. They weren't, but the league phase was terrible for them. It took them really a while to kind of get going. They're playing on house money and they've looked good throughout. I've said, even before they played against Arsenal, my favorite team and the team that I support, I said PSG is winning this whole thing. So I'm gonna have to stand on that business and say, I think Luis Enrique kind of figures it out. Advertisement We gotta give our predictions. Uh, what do you, who do you think is gonna win and what do you think the score is gonna be? PSG 31. I think this game is a tossup. I it's really difficult to pick. I, I think they're both not necessarily evenly matched in every asset, but like the where one team is, is strong, the other team is weak and vice versa and in other parts. I'm gonna, I think it's gonna be a high scoring game. I think it's gonna be 3-2 enter, but I think this goes to extra time.

Is Ruben Amorim the right fit for Manchester United?

Is Ruben Amorim the right fit for Manchester United? | The Cooligans Yahoo Sports contributors Christian Polanco and Alexis Guerreros reflect on Manchester United's season with manager and head coach Ruben Amorim at the helm and debate whether or not he is the right fit for the job. Hear the full conversation on the 'The Cooligans' podcast - and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or wherever you listen. View more Video Transcript Has Ruben Aham done a good enough job to keep his job. Advertisement He's proven to me that he has the goods to be able to turn a team around, and sometimes when you don't have the time to do it, you'll never see it come to fruition. And I think this is a good example of steady. Let this man get another season. If he has another season like this or another even half season like this, I completely understand, but he deserves a transfer window, he deserves to bring in his own players, and he deserves at least a little bit more grace. I don't think it is his fault when he got there, and we were all, he is charming. He is making, he's saying the right things. He's young, he's he's better than like 10 Hog, right? Advertisement He's not, he's not. Uh, um, uh, putting blame on other people. He's just like a, he's a chill guy and he, he was what they needed to not just right the ship like on the pitch with the media and dealing with all that stuff because it was just a lot of bad publicity. So I don't necessarily think it is his fault. Ruben Aer has won 6 games in 6 months. That's not bad. 1 a month. I mean, how many do they play each month? Like quite a few, usually 4 to 6. So good. So that isn't good enough. So I understand it may not be entirely his fault because we know of all the institutional problems with Manchester United, and that's the point. Advertisement I think it's first. Well, I, I don't understand why he, why he even took the job, and I get the, the glory of Manchester United to be the one that writes that ship, you can essentially become thought of as like the next Sir Alex Ferguson. There's a certain amount of ego that goes into wanting to be a manager and wanting to be a manager of a club like Manchester United, regardless of when that call comes, you're probably gonna take it. But at the same time, you had to look at this and go, I don't. I don't think I wanna spend my vacation on a, on a cruise boat that's on fire, you know what I mean? Like I said, on the, on the live stream when we were doing Wat song, I said that Manchester United feels like a, a house with mold all over it that you just paint over and you're just like, oh, the it looks, it looks great from the outside, you know, the point that this club is in and the So the opportunity that for for both Tottenham and Manchester United, it was the opportunity for people to ignore the season you just had.
