The red matte lipstick Sephora shoppers say has "serious staying power" is now on sale, reduced from £13.99 to £10.45, and it's had a glow-up. The Cream Lip Stain from Sephora Collection has been a go-to for shoppers for over a decade, loved for its bold colour, lightweight feel, and no-transfer finish. Now, it's back with a new look and formula - still the same lipstick fans adore, but with a few updates.
This updated version is vegan, lasts up to 10 hours, and still gives that intense matte colour with just one swipe. It's made with avocado oil so it feels soft and comfortable on the lips, without drying them out, according to the beauty retailer. And whether you're wearing it for a full day at work or a night out, this lipstick stays put and keeps looking fresh.
The packaging has also had a refresh as it's now made with at least 44% recycled plastic and designed to use less material overall. But what do shoppers make of the popular item's refresh ? So far, it's definitely made a positive impression.
One happy customer said: 'I absolutely LOVE this product ! I bought my first one in France on a holiday and have since ordered two more colours online.
'I can literally apply first thing in the morning and it remains in place for the whole day.
'All I have to do is top up with lip balm for added moisture and it just keeps going!
'I have Pink Souffle and Marvelous mauve; they are quite similar but subtly different enough to be noticeable.'
Someone else said: ' My favourite lipstick . I have about 10 now in a variety of shades.
'Last for ages, look great, feel great, not drying and apply easily. Great pigmentation as well."
Most people have been hugely impressed so far, although there's room for improvement according to some shoppers.
One buyer seemed to love the long lasting nature of the lipstick, entitling their review; 'serious staying power' , noting: 'Highly pigmented and lasts FOR HOURS!'
But they also added that they were hoping for more of a moisturised feel, adding: 'I only wish it was more moisturising, but the colour payoff is incredible!'
Yet someone else added: 'Easy to apply and lasts for ages. Does not dry lips like some lip stains.'
