XG to conclude world tour at Tokyo Dome
After Coachella, XG to solidify its status with Tokyo Dome concert
XG has officially announced their entry into Tokyo Dome.
On Feb. 23 and 24, XG held additional performances in Tokyo as part of its world tour, "The First Howl." During the concert, they revealed that the final stop of the tour will take place at Tokyo Dome on May 14.
"The First Howl" marks XG's first-ever world tour, which began in May last year. The group has performed in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Australia, and more. By the time the Tokyo Dome finale concludes, XG will have performed in 33 cities across 18 countries, reaching a total audience of approximately 200,000 fans.
Tokyo Dome, a prestigious venue that can accommodate around 50,000 spectators, is considered a benchmark of success in Japan's music industry. XG's agency, XGALX, stated, 'By concluding its world tour at Tokyo Dome, XG reaffirms its rising status in Japan.'
Due to overwhelming fan demand, XG has extended their tour with additional shows. They are currently performing in four additional cities in both Japan and China. The group will head to Brazil and Mexico in April, marking its first performances in Latin America.
Debuting in March 2022, XG is a Japanese group built on the K-pop system. Despite being composed entirely of Japanese members, their production and activities are primarily based in South Korea. The group's second mini album, "AWE," released in November last year, secured the 175th spot on the Billboard 200 chart, marking a significant milestone for the group.
