First Fridays After 5 of 2025 canceled due to expected weather
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The first Fridays After 5 free concert in Johnson City's King Commons has been canceled.
On Thursday, the Downtown Johnson City nonprofit organization announced on social media that the first concert in the free series had been canceled due to forecasted weather on Friday evening.
'We want to kick off the season with blue skies, dry grass, and warm weather to pack King Commons out,' the post states.

Friday, May 30, was set to be the first of many free concerts held almost every Friday in the summer. The band Troubador Blue was scheduled to perform.
With the cancellation, the first Friday's After 5 will now be held on June 13 with The Get Right Band performing.
Downtown Johnson City wrote in the social media post that it had already locked in a rescheduled date for Troubador Blue to perform.
