Coronation Street star married to famous Hollywood actress
The character arrived on one of the nation's beloved streets to support Kevin (Michael Le Vell) through his treatment for prostate cancer. However, he has also since discovered that their sister Debbie (Sue Devaney) was having tests for young-onset dementia. But many Corrie viewers might not know that in real life, the actor is married to a famous Hollywood star – wondering who it is? Jonathan is married to the actress Elodie Yung, known for her roles in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Daredevil, The Hitman's Bodyguard and many other popular films. More recently, the 44-year-old who is originally from Paris, played the character of Thony De La Rosa in The Cleaning Lady. Jonathan and Elodie reportedly live in America and have one daughter, who was born in 2018. Jonathan's first appearance on the ITV soap came following a minor collision in Frescho's car park with Abi Wester (Sally Carman), who he didn't know was married to his brother Kevin. Following a spark between the two in the car park, Carl then asked to take Abi out for a drink but little did he know she was his sister-in-law, despite her insisting she was married. However, sometime later, Carl and Abi met again in the Bistro on the cobbles when Carl showed up to surprise his family, which was followed by an awkward handshake between the pair, as they pretended to meet for the first time. Similar to his wife in real life, Jonathan has also appeared in Hollywood productions including a Marvel movie. In 2013, he was cast in the Brad Pitt post-apocalyptic film, World War Z and in the same year, he starred alongside Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman in the Marvel hit, Thor: The Dark World, as Ian Boothby.
