Young Thug's First Live Show Since Prison Release Set for Belgium Festival

Young Thug is locked in to perform his first live show since coming home from prison last Halloween. However, his fans in the States might be a bit disappointed because the show is overseas. Thugger will headline the third day of Belgian music festival Les Ardentes on July 5. Earlier Tuesday (Feb. 25), organizers posted a flyer on their Instagram page making the announcement along with a caption that reads, 'History. Young Thug is back to headline Les Ardentes! 5th July at Les Ardentes. Tickets on sale this Wednesday!' More from Billboard Max B to Young Thug: 'We Gon' Make Some History?' 'Eight years after his last visit to Les Ardentes, Young Thug is back,' they wrote. 'See you on Saturday, July 5th for an ME-MO-RABLE show!' His YSL label's IG account seemed to confirm the post by commenting, 'Slatt,' along with a snake and lime-green heart emoji. Thug isn't out of the legal woods just yet as he's currently dealing with a civil lawsuit filed by entertainment company AEG which claims he violated a touring agreement they made in 2017. The company sued him in December 2020 claiming that he never paid back the $5.3 million advance they gave him and that he put up copyrights to his music as collateral. 'Such copyrights constituted collateral that was subject to the security agreement,' the company wrote in its 2020 complaint. 'AEG has the right, pursuant to [agreement], to require that [Thug's publishing company] and Mr. Williams assemble such [copyrights] and turn them over to AEG.' As of right now, Ken Carson and Young Thug are the only two American rappers set to perform. Carson will hitting the stage the day before Thug on July 4. You can grab tickets here.
