‘It's over': Why Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom are on the rocks

Tensions around Katy Perry's latest tour are being blamed for a rumoured split between the pop superstar and her movie-star fiancé Orlando Bloom. Days after the Californian diva had a security scare when an audience member charged the stage at her sold-out The Lifetimes tour Qudos Bank Arena show in Sydney, news has surfaced that the A-list couple's relationship may be on the rocks. Ms Perry was left visibly shaken when the fan jumped onto the stage and draped his arm around her as security scrambled to take him down. Although rattled by the intruder, the singer soldiered on and continued to belt out her popular 2008 hit 'Hot N Cold.' 'There's never going to be another show like this, so just enjoy it, Sydney,' she said. 'What the hell is going on?' Ms Perry announced to the crowd as security dragged the man from the stage. The current 15-show tour of Australia and the lukewarm reception for her new album '143' have reportedly added to rising stress levels between Perry and her husband, according to People — as the singer continues her stay in the Harbour City. 'It's over,' one source told Page Six. 'They are waiting till her tour is over before they split.' 'Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album. It made her very stressed. Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.' After previous relationship counselling, the pop star spoke out in 2024 about their issues and patches where they have needed a break from each other. 'Orlando and I, when we argue, we argue kinda hot and fast and then cool really quickly. It's like, 'La la la la la, I love you. Alright, let's move on.'' She also mentioned the impact that their domestic blow-ups had on their four-year-old daughter Daisy. 'We are fire, fire, fire, and so [Daisy] sees all of that,' Ms Perry said. 'He's a real sage. We both have parts of ourselves. There's two parts of us, our highest good, and then our carnal, material self. Ego. When the ego is running the show, then it's like, 'Whoa.' But when that's in check, then we're both something else.'' Mr Bloom, who is in New York for the Tribeca Film Festival, has spoken previously about the challenging moments in their partnership. 'Sometimes things are really, really, really, challenging. I won't lie. We definitely battle with our emotions and creativity.'

Katy Perry Caught In Electrical Mishap As Fan Catches Fire Outside ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

had a very close call Wednesday night when an autograph session outside "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" turned into a shocking scene as a fan accidentally touched a transformer, causing sparks to explode dangerously close to the pop star. The singer had been at "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to promote her upcoming "The Lifetimes" Tour, which kicks off April 23 in Mexico City. Katy Perry is also set to perform at L.A. FireAid, a relief concert benefiting victims of the recent California wildfires. Perry was outside the Hollywood studio after her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" when she stopped to greet fans and sign autographs along a barricade. As she moved down the line, a sudden burst of sparks erupted just feet from her, forcing her to quickly duck to avoid getting hit. The cause? A fan accidentally made contact with a transformer, triggering a surge of electricity that sent sparks flying, igniting the fan's coat on fire in the process. Check out the photos obtained by TMZ. According to the outlet, eyewitnesses say flames appeared on the woman's elbow as she scrambled to put them out. Photos from the scene show the coat still smoldering even after she managed to extinguish the flames. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, though the moment was terrifying for both Perry and the fans nearby. Despite the chaos, Perry didn't let the incident stop her from showing love to her fans. Later that evening, she returned to finish signing autographs ... this time, from the safety of her car. As the pop star gears up for her newly announced "Lifetimes Tour," in support of her 2024 album "143," Perry is promising a high-energy, fan-focused experience that will be nothing short of a spectacle. In an interview with PEOPLE Magazine, the 40-year-old teased that her upcoming tour, which will kick off in Mexico City on April 23, will be packed with nonstop beats and plenty of nostalgia. 'This show will be full of BPM (beats per minute),' she said. 'So I suggest wearing some sensible shoes and staying hydrated because I think there's going to be a whole heck of a lot of us just dancing the night away.' Beyond the new material, Perry is bringing back fan-favorite hits spanning her career. 'I will be introducing people to a few new songs, and I'm calling it 'Lifetimes Tour' because I'm celebrating the whole lifetime of songs thus far,' she explained, hinting that she's 'dusting off some deep cuts' for longtime fans. Adding a fun, interactive element to the tour, Perry has curated a unique "Club 143" experience, which includes a bartender and a special fan area. 'It's mom's night out too,' she quipped, highlighting that the experience is meant to bring fans together for a night of fun and nostalgia. While Perry is fully committed to giving fans an incredible show, she's also prioritizing her health, family, and longevity. 'I'm 40. I have a family. I have a whole other world outside of this that I'm tending to as well,' the "Firework" singer shared. 'I know the responsibility of putting on a tour and how much people look forward to it.' To ensure she brings her A-game every night, Perry is making self-care a priority. 'I'm really trying to stay in the best shape, give my body breaks, look after myself so that I can show up every night and give as close to 100% that I can.' The highly anticipated U.S. leg kicks off on May 7 at the Toyota Center in Houston, bringing fans an electrifying mix of her greatest hits and new music from her upcoming album "143." Tickets for the Live Nation-produced tour will be available through multiple presale opportunities before the general on-sale. Citi and Verizon presales began on Tuesday, January 28, along with the artist presale, which opened on Wednesday, January 29, at 10 a.m. local time. The general on-sale officially opens on Friday, January 31, at 10 a.m. local time.
