Sharjah Light Festival concludes at 12 sites
Diverse and innovative light shows
Al Kaabi reported that this year's light shows were characterised by diversity and innovation, utilizing 3D projection techniques to narrate stories inspired by local heritage and the environment.
A stunning start at Al Rafesah Dam
The festival included three notable sites, with the Al Rafesah Dam in Khorfakkan hosting the first show titled "The Light of the East." This amazing 3D projection told the story of the dam and Khorfakkan, highlighting the natural environment and surrounding mountains.
Captivating display at Al Haffiya Lake
The second show took place at Al Haffiya Lake in Kalba, titled "Harmony of the Ocean," presenting a vibrant display of a whale swimming in the lake, creating an interactive scene that captivated the audience and added an atmosphere of magic and fantasy, along with accompanying events that saw wide participation.
Artistic showcase at Al Tayari Mosque
Additionally, the Al Tayari Mosque in Dibba Al Hisn featured a special light show titled "Harmony of Arts," which used intricate geometric patterns and flowing mosaic designs, harmonising with vibrant colors that reflect Islamic architectural heritage in a creative blend of tradition and modernity.
Ongoing festivities at the Light Village
Al Kaabi noted that the Light Village at the University City of Sharjah will continue until February 23, offering various recreational and educational activities suitable for all age groups. He emphasised that this year's festival achieved great success due to the diverse light displays, which ran from February 5 to 16 and attracted a large number of visitors who enjoyed the stunning shows.
