Recipe below: LIVER LOVING WELLNESS SHOT Make up a batch and freeze in ice-cube trays. Thaw out a shot daily and enjoy. You can also prepare a jug of tonic, keep in a jar and pour out a shot daily. Serving size = 15 ml. 4 cups fresh pineapple, chopped 1 cup water1/2cup fresh mint10 cm fresh ginger, grated 1 lemon, peeled and chopped 1 teaspoon honey Method 1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blitz at high speed until really smooth. 2. Grab a jar and put a strainer in the top. Slowly add the liquid to the jar – this can take a few minutes, so be patient. 3. Store in your fridge for the week. You also can pour into an ice-cube tray and defrost 15 ml serves as you need. HONEY SESAME CHICKEN LUNCH BOWL Makes 4 FOR THE SAUCE 1/4 cup chicken stock1/4 cup honey1 tablespoon sesame oil1 teaspoon arrowroot powder 1 teaspoon chilli flakes FOR THE BOWL 3 cups broccoli florets3 cups snow peas, trimmed 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil2 chicken breasts, cubedsalt and pepperpinch of chilli flakes (optional) 2 cups cooked quinoa GARNISH sesame seedschopped chives or spring onions Method 1. To make the sauce, put all the ingredients in a jar and shake well. Cook the sauce in a pan for about 2 minutes or until it is thick. 2. Cook the broccoli and snow peas with the olive oil in a pan for a few minutes. You want them to be still crisp, not soggy. 3. Add the chicken to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle with the chilli flakes, if using. 4. Divide the quinoa among individual serving bowls. Add the chicken and vegetables. Drizzle the sauce over and garnish with sesame seeds and chives.
