AC/DC pop-up bar with free tattoos opens in Minneapolis
AC/DC is kicking off its first U.S. tour since 2017 and the death of founding member Malcolm Young in Minneapolis on Thursday night.
But before hell's bells ring inside U.S. Bank Stadium, the band has opened a pop-up called the AC/DC Dive Bar in Minneapolis.
The bar opened to superfans on Wednesday and will also be open on Thursday from noon until 8 p.m. (showtime!). The bar has taken up residence at The Machine Shop, just across the river from the stadium in the St. Anthony Main neighborhood.
It's an actual bar with drinks, but the AC/DC-ness is the real attraction, with museum-like artifacts of the band's history, photo opps, and a tattoo parlour.
That's no joke. Fans can get inked at the AC/DC Dive Bar for free. Though, as you'd expect, the free tattoos are all about the "Back in Black" band.
Fans that don't want their fandom permanently marked will find live video of the band playing around the bar and props like the cannon from the cover of For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) set up for snapshots.
There's also plenty of merch for those about to buy shirts at the show (but want it early).
The AC/DC Dive Bar opens at noon on Thursday, April 10, at 300 2nd St. SE.
