How much snow fell in Minnesota on Sunday, Mar. 30?
A storm system brought a blanket of heavy, wet snow to Minnesota on Sunday.
The winter storm struck mostly in central and northern Minnesota, though the Twin Cities did see a brief period of heavy snowfall that left 1.7 inches at MSP Airport during the afternoon.
On Saturday, heavy rain swept across much of the state, with the Twin Cities seeing among the highest totals, with more than 2 inches of rain falling.
Further north things were more serious on Sunday, with several inches of heavy snow falling, causing plenty of problems on the roads.

The Minnesota State Patrol says that as of 8 p.m. Sunday, there had been more than 200 crashes, vehicles off the road, or spinouts. Of those, 13 results in injuries.
