First impressions of Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson on practice field
First impressions of Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson on practice field If first impressions are worth anything, then rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson will be a player to keep an eye on during the offseason practices. His speed on the field immediately jumps out, and local reporters are quickly taking notice of his home run potential coming out of the offensive backfield. NBC Sports Boston's Phil A. Perry talked about his impressions of the Ohio State product in real time when attending an open practice for organized team activities. 'TreVeyon Henderson looks really quick, saw him catch a very short sort of swing pass that I thought was out of reach for him, but was able to extend and bring it in," Perry said on The Next Pats Podcast. "Looks very quick with the ball in his hands. They used him a few times on screens, and he's making people miss in small spaces.' Henderson has the skill set and athleticism to be one of the top rookie running backs in the league. He can run, catch and pass protect at an elite level. That level of talent should put him in the mix right away for the Patriots on offense. A projected running back room of Henderson, Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson is one of the best the Patriots have had in years. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook.

Eight-time Pro Bowl CB explains 'love' for Christian Gonzalez's game
