Roman Reigns issues chilling message ahead of Raw: ‘Don't trust anyone'

Hours before he appears on Raw, Roman Reigns has a chilling message for fans, family, enemies, and the company for which he works. On Monday afternoon, Reigns posted a two-minute video across social media—X, TikTok, and Instagram. The Tribal Chief was calm yet seething, reflective as he was bitter. Based on his tone, Reigns appears ready to fight the world this Saturday at WrestleMania, with or without his confidant, Paul Heyman. 'It's funny how much a year can change. This time last year I was untouchable. I should've tightened my grip around this company's neck. 'It was 'The Wiseman' that taught me diplomacy. (In a mocking tone) 'You gotta think politically.' 'I tried to help everyone. Most of them don't understand what a helping hand really looks like, what that really feels like. 'What do I get for it? Netflix. TKO. Mainstream. Billion-dollar deals. And somehow, I'm out on my ass. 'I lift everybody up, and somehow, no one's got enough respect to just be true to their Tribal Chief. 'My father didn't agree with me; used to say, 'Son, why do you care if they respect you? Why do you care if they acknowledge your talent and your contribution?' 'Lessons learned. We don't lose. We learn. Don't trust anyone.' Advertisement After taking a sabbatical following last year's WrestleMania, Roman Reigns returned in the summer of 2024, more popular than ever before. But as he heads into the biggest show of the year, where he will headline WrestleMania for an unprecedented tenth time, things are different. While Reigns simmers with resentment, the spotlight seems to be elsewhere. All eyes are on Cody Rhodes and his match against John Cena, whose time has been up for some time, by Rhodes' estimation. Considering the story told ahead of his triple-threat match with Seth Rollins and CM Punk, stars who are still in their prime and competing at a high level, Reigns should be the last thing audiences see as WrestleMania goes off the air on Sunday. Perhaps that's what Reigns is alluding to when he speaks to the lack of recognition by Netflix, WWE, and its parent company, TKO. All of these deals, while not brokered by Reigns, came about during his historic 1,316-day run as the Undisputed Champion and uncontested face of pro wrestling. Advertisement As he references those who don't recognize what a helping hand looks like, that seems like a direct shot at Paul Heyman and CM Punk. For years, Heyman credited Reigns with pulling him from 'The Ocean of Obscurity.' After Heyman's client, Brock Lesnar, lost the WWE Title at WrestleMania 36, Heyman was seemingly finished as a manager, advocate, and advisor. It wasn't until Reigns reached out to Heyman in the summer of 2020 that Heyman gained a new lease on life. As Reigns' 'Wiseman,' Heyman became a WWE Hall of Famer, a celebrated performer, and in the eyes of many, surpassed the legendary Bobby Heenan as the greatest manager of all time. Despite Reigns' influential assistance, Heyman is walking down the aisle with CM Punk at WrestleMania as Punk headlines the show for the first time in his career. Rather than blow him off, Heyman rebuffed his Tribal Chief. As for Punk, he wouldn't be fulfilling his lifelong dream of headlining WrestleMania if it weren't for Reigns' blessing. And how does Punk repay him? By disrespecting what once seemed like an unbreakable bond between Reigns and Heyman. Advertisement Now, it seems like Reigns realizes what 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin spent years preaching beyond Austin 3:16: 'Don't trust anyone.' It'll be interesting to see what that means for tonight as Reigns makes one last stop on Raw on the Road to WrestleMania. Is Reigns truly going solo this weekend? If so, what does that mean for Heyman, Punk, and Rollins, the first man to betray Reigns in WWE? One thing is certain: tonight, fans will not see Roman Reigns, the diplomat or the leader. Instead, they should expect to see the storm he's been warning us about. More from
