Crocketford girl helps Scotland become cheerleading world champions
Stephanie Donnelly was part of the Scotland party which competed at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships in Florida.
A girl from Crocketford has helped Scotland become world champions at cheerleading.
Stephanie Donnelly was part of the Scotland party which competed at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships in Florida.
The competition was held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, part of the Disney World resort and was broadcast worldwide on The Olympic Channel.
And 19-year-old Stephanie and her team-mates were delighted to win gold in the adaptive abilities median category, seeing off Canada, England, Australia and the hosts America.
This represented years of hard work for Stephanie, who was selected for the squad last year following several rounds of try outs.
She trains with the Cheer Force Knights in Carlisle, having started with DG Cheer in Dumfries.
She'll be going back over the summer to help coach the team.
