Military steps in to help airlift some Pukatawagan residents out of harm's way
Since an evacuation order was issued on Wednesday due to a wildfire affecting the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation, also known as Pukatawagan, thousands of people have been waiting to be flown out. Military aircraft flew residents out over the weekend to The Pas, Man., from where 120 evacuees were able to take a Via Rail train to Winnipeg on Sunday.

Man reported missing in The Pas found safe: RCMP
Mounties say a 53-year-old man, who had been reported missing, has been safely located. According to RCMP, the man hadn't been seen since May 12 in The Pas. He was reported missing to The Pas RCMP detachment on Friday afternoon. On Saturday afternoon, police said he was found safe. CTV News Winnipeg has removed the man's name and photo.

Missing man, 53, last seen in The Pas Monday
Manitoba RCMP are asking for the public's help to find a 53-year-old man who was reported missing Friday in the northern Manitoba town of The Pas. Darren Brass was last seen May 12 at a business on Fisher Avenue in The Pas, RCMP said in a Saturday news release. Mounties believe he could be travelling to Sapotaweyak Cree Nation. Brass is described as five feet, six inches tall, and weighs about 140 pounds. He has black/grey hair.
