Mum-to-be Doireann Garrihy skipping Style Awards for comfort
Doireann Garrihy, who last year picked up her first Style Award gong, will be skipping out on tonight's bash opting instead for a cosy night at home.
Instead of dancing the night away with the celebrity set at the swanky Intercontinental Hotel in Dubin 4, expectant mum Doireann will be having a 'chill' night in at her Castleknock home.
2FM presenter Doireann announced in April that she was expecting her first child with husband Mark Meighan, and the excited couple are understood to be set to welcome their firstborn in late autumn. Pic: Doireann Garrihy/Instagram
Since announcing her exciting news, mum-to-be Doireann, a hitherto social butterfly, has seriously curtailed her partying ways.
Taking to Instagram stories ahead of tonight's VIP Style Awards, Doireann sent her sartorial friends and nominees her best wishes ahead of the glitzy celeb-stacked bash. 'BEST OF LUCK to all at @ Style Awards thank you so much to anyone who voted for me,' wrote Doireann on her social media page.
While she may be out of sight, Doireann, most certainly, will not be out of mind, as she is up for the most prestigious award of the night as Ireland's Most stylish woman. Doireann Garrihy at The Peter Mark VIP Style Awards 2019 at the Marker Hotel, Dublin. Pic: Brian McEvoy
And while she has put in a very formidable fashion performance over the past year Doireann faces some fierce competition to take home what is duly considered the ultimate Irish style prize. Pic: Doireann Garrihy/Instagram
Also vying for the title of the nations most stylish are Celia Holman Lee, Jennifer Zamparelli, Kathryn Thomas, Lisa Jordan, Roz Purcell, Muireann O'Connell, Pippa O'Connor, Lisa McGowan, Suzanne Jackson, Vogue Williams and Una Healy.
