Steelers to hold joint practice with Buccaneers, per HC Todd Bowles
Steelers have a new joint practice partner — none other than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
On Monday's episode of The Pewter Report Podcast, Bucs HC Todd Bowles was asked if rumors about having joint practices with the Steelers in Pittsburgh were true — and this was his response:
'We're working on having joint practices with two of them — with the Titans and the Steelers.'
Last season, the Steelers hosted the Buffalo Bills for a joint practice, while Pittsburgh was reportedly in talks to host the Carolina Panthers — a notion Panthers HC Dave Canales dismissed.
The Buccaneers will host the Titans on August 9 and travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers on August 16 this preseason.
Here's to hoping the Steelers can make the most of their time with Tampa Bay, as Pittsburgh's retooled offense and defense are in serious need of additional practice reps to build chemistry.
