New Princess of Wales wax figure unveiled at Madame Tussauds London
Ammon News - A new wax figure of the Princess of Wales has been unveiled at Madame Tussauds London. Kate's waxwork has been styled in a sparkly Jenny Packham gown and silver pumps, paying homage to her outfit to the annual diplomatic reception in December 2023. On top of the dusty pink dress, the statue is adorned with the Royal Victorian Order blue sash. The new figure is also styled with the Royal Family Order of Elizabeth II, replica Greville Diamond Chandelier earrings and a replica of the Lover's Knot Tiara from the Madame Tussauds London archive. The tiara was previously worn by the wax figure of Princess Diana at the tourist attraction in the 1980s. "We are delighted that a new figure of the much-loved Catherine, Princess of Wales, has officially landed in The Royal Palace Experience at our attraction in the heart of London, continuing our centuries-long work with the Royal Family," Steve Blackburn, senior general manager at Madame Tussauds London, said. "Kate, majestically crafted by our talented studio team, has been sculpted to ensure her resemblance is fit for a future queen, alongside her dashing husband." The new wax figure will stand next to the statue of her husband, Prince William, and her in-laws, the King and Queen Camilla. William's waxwork has been upgraded by dressing it in a black Ede & Ravenscroft tuxedo, a white bow tie, as well as replicas of his sash and star of the Order of the Garter and army medals.
