Viral K-beauty ‘glass skin' moisturiser finally launches in UK – we try it out
Popular Korean skincare brand Belif has finally launched in the UK, much to the delight of beauty fans. We put some of its hero products to the test to see what all the fuss is about Ask any beauty lover what they buy when abroad, and I bet it included a number of beauty products that you can't get back home. Until recently that included cult Korean skincare brand Belif – which was also available in the US – however, it has finally launched here in the UK on Beauty Bay, much to the delight of anyone who loves the lightweight, hydrating formulas that K-beauty is known for. Belif's Aqua Bomb range is perhaps its most popular, and within that, the Aqua Bomb moisturisers: The True Cream – Aqua Bomb, £32, a gel-cream formula ideal for combination-to-oily cream, and The True Cream – Moisturizing Bomb, £32, with more of a traditional cream texture and better suited to normal-to-dry skin. And if you're in need of a new moisturiser, I think these two are well worth checking out. I'd say my skin is combination, but I've never found gel textured creams hydrating enough for my complexion, so The True Cream – Moisturizing Bomb would be my pick out of the two. Enriched with peptides, squalane and ceramides, it's clinically shown to increase moisture by 114.5% instantly and keep the skin hydrated for up to 48 hours. It has more of a traditional moisturiser texture than its Aqua Bomb counterpart – Belif describes it as like 'whipped cream' – and it's incredibly lightweight, not heavy or greasy in the slightest. It makes my skin look instantly plumper and fresher, and make-up sits beautifully over the top of it. It also tried The True Cream – Aqua Bomb, and we really impressed by this one too; it sinks in instantly yet still leaves skin feeling hydrated, like a glass of water on the skin. If you're previously tried and loved gel-cream moisturisers such as Laneige Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Acid Gel Moisturiser or Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream Moisturiser, I think you'll love this. Belif also has a cleanser, toner and overnight mask in its Aqua Bomb range, which are worth a look. If it's lightweight, Korean skincare – known for giving a 'glass skin' glow – you should also check out Beauty of Joseon, which has just launched into Boots stores and online. We've been particularly impressed by the SPF, the essence and this gentle exfoliator. Meanwhile This Morning presenter Nadine Baggott recently praised the new L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser Tripeptides Age-Correcting Serum as one that make-up artists are currently obsessed with for getting glowing skin.

If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission – learn more Famous for their hydration-first formulas, Korean skincare brands are truly some of the best in the biz when it comes to creating lightweight and ultra-moisturising products. However, lengthy and expensive shipping means it's tricky to get hold of some of the very best Korean brands in the UK. So, it was understandably hugely exciting to hear that belif was finally launching in the UK. An incredibly popular Korean skincare brand, belif is huge in 37 countries — including the US — and by 2024, they'd already sold over 15 million units of their two best-selling products; The True Cream – Aqua Bomb, and The True Cream – Moisturising Bomb. They've kicked off their UK launch with the cult-favourite Aqua Bomb range — six lovely lightweight products that deliver instant hydration and nourishment to parched complexions. Amazon seems to currently be the best site to shop from. Combining traditional herbal blends with modern skincare science, each product is natural and gentle, and aims to leave skin looking and feeling glassy, glowy, and plump. And after putting the range to the test over a two week period, I'm pleased to report that I'm seriously impressed with the results. Out of the two best-selling creams, The True Cream – Moisturising Bomb has to be my personal favourite — I just love its whipped and gloriously cushiony feel. It's enriched with ingredients like squalane and the brand's original herbal blend that deliver 48-hours of moisture, which is the perfect formula for my dry complexion. This intensely moisturising cream, enriched with Ceramide and Peptide, provides twice the hydration for up to 48 hours. Its lightweight, whipped texture delivers deep moisture while strengthening the skin barrier. Clinically proven to increase inner moisture by 8.543% and effective for 48 hours, it revitalises your skin without feeling heavy. This is all thanks to a powerhouse-duo of collagen-stimulating peptides that help to enhance elasticity, and strengthening ceramides that help lock-in moisture, and shield against external damage. More Trending The True Cream – Aqua Bomb doesn't have quite the same plumping and firming effect on my skin as it's creamier sister — but I've still found plenty of ways to incorporate it into my skincare routine as more of a hydrating treatment or primer. Designed to drench the skin in weightless hydration, the oil-free gel cream is infused with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide — making it a great smooth and hydrated base for make-up. This ultra-lightweight, oil-free cream enriched with Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide provides powerful moisturisation, doubling your skin's moisture level in any climate. Its gel-like texture absorbs instantly, offering a refreshing cooling effect without sticky residue. Enhanced with belif's original formula, it strengthens the skin barrier and boosts hydration by 70% within one hour, leaving your skin revitalised and refreshed.
