Swedish Wallenberg Family Anoints Next Generation With New Posts
The Wallenbergs, a Swedish industrial dynasty rooted in the nineteenth century, took a major step toward its succession planning by appointing some of the family's sixth generation to the boards of key business interests.
Private equity group EQT AB said Jacob Wallenberg Jr, born 1992, was being proposed as a new board member. The family's investment vehicle Investor AB separately announced that Fred Wallenberg, born 1990, would be put forward to its board of directors at the next annual general meeting.
