How Jason Isaacs Misjudged Patrick Schwarzenegger
It's no secret that there's a bit of a negative implication that comes with being a nepo baby in Hollywood. And so, when Jason Isaacs found out that he'd be working with Patrick Schwarzenegger on The White Lotus, he was a little apprehensive. If the last name wasn't enough of a giveaway, Patrick is the eldest son of Hollywood icon-turned-politician and businessperson Arnold Schwarzenegger and journalist, author, and Kennedy family member, Maria Shriver. On Season 3 of The White Lotus, Jason played the wealthy but troubled patriarch of the Ratliff family, Timothy, and Patrick played Saxon, the eldest of his three children. During a recent appearance on the Table Manners podcast, Jason revealed that he and his onscreen kids from the series got pretty close over the course of the seven months they spent shooting in Thailand. 'You know who I charmed up with? It's my kids. Patrick, Sam [Nivola], Sarah Catherine [Hook], became like my kids, you know, by proxy, and I fell madly in love with them,' he said when asked about who he was closest to in the cast. After revealing that he and his White Lotus kids still 'text each other all the time,' Jason admitted he misjudged Patrick before they bonded. 'I didn't expect Patrick to be nice because he's the son of a famous movie star,' he said, 'and he's such a fabulous, grounded person.' Funnily enough, I don't think Jason was the only person to be pleasantly surprised by Patrick. When The White Lotus Season 3 first premiered in February, the 31-year-old copped some criticism for his questionable comments on nepotism during an interview with the Sunday Times. However, within just a few weeks, he'd won himself a new legion of fans and was hailed as one of the standout performers on the series. Notably, Jason was one of the people to publicly defend Patrick amid all the nepotism backlash, calling him 'one of the nicest, most grounded, humble, lovely people' he'd ever met. 'He knows exactly who his dad is, and he loves him for what he is,' he said during a Virgin Radio interview in March. 'But he knows who he is, he's not blinded to his faults as well. He's just a really wonderful young man.' What a sweet duo! You can find Jason's full Table Manners episode here.

Glen Powell lands lead in Running Man reboot with Arnold's blessing
Hollywood's favorite heartthrob Glen Powell is officially stepping into dystopian territory with The Running Man reboot — and he has Arnold Schwarzenegger's blessing to do it. The 1987 sci-fi classic, originally led by Schwarzenegger, is being reimagined by director Edgar Wright, with Powell in the lead role of Ben Richards. Powell got the green light directly from the original star, thanks to a little help from The White Lotus Season 3 actor Patrick Schwarzenegger. As Powell revealed in a recent interview with People, Patrick — Arnold's son and Powell's close friend — connected them for a FaceTime chat. 'Arnold gave us his blessing,' said Powell, noting the special moment during his conversation with Wright and the legendary action star. The reboot aims to stick more closely to Stephen King's original novel (written under the Richard Bachman pseudonym), promising a grittier tone than the original film's over-the-top 80s action. With a cast that includes Josh Brolin and Colman Domingo, the movie is already generating buzz following its CinemaCon preview. Powell is also planning to send Arnold a special gift from the film, highlighting the camaraderie behind the scenes. With Patrick acting as the bridge between Hollywood generations, The Running Man reboot doesn't just carry nostalgia — it's charged with real-life connections and legacy. The film is set to hit theaters on November 7, 2025, bringing a fresh take on a cult classic to a new generation.

Minor Hotels Powers Through Low Season to Lift Revenue and EBITDA in 1Q 2025
Core revenue in Q1 increases 4% y-y Core EBITDA up 7% y-y RevPAR +5% globally, driven by Thailand (+10%) and Europe (+8%) First-quarter loss cut by 57% versus 2024 Minor Hotels has reported a resilient start to 2025, shrugging off seasonal softness and currency volatility to post a 4% year-on-year increase in core revenue and a 7% jump in core EBITDA. Buoyed by robust leisure and business demand, Minor Hotels cut its first-quarter core loss to THB 493 million – an improvement of 57% versus last year. The sharp turnaround underscores both the earning power of the group's diverse global portfolio and its disciplined cost controls. System-wide occupancy across Minor's global portfolio of more than 560 properties edged up one point to 64% while average daily rate (ADR) rose 3% year-on-year, lifting global RevPAR by 5%. Thailand continued to outperform, with owned hotels in the country recording a 10% RevPAR increase as international arrivals accelerated, flight connectivity improved and global exposure from HBO's The White Lotus Season 3 – filmed across four Minor resorts – boosted brand visibility. Europe also exceeded expectations despite its traditional low season, with owned hotels in the region delivering 8% RevPAR growth, led by strong trading in Spain, Italy and the Benelux region, underscoring demand resilience across the continent. Strategic pricing and stronger direct-booking initiatives, notably the debut of the new Minor Hotels masterbrand in March, combined to sharpen top-line momentum. Total system sales for the entire portfolio held steady in the first quarter at THB 40.5 billion and rose 3% on a like-for-like basis once foreign-exchange effects and recent openings or exits were stripped out. Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East and Africa saw a combined 2% uplift in system sales, with the Maldives and Sri Lanka helping to offset pockets of softness elsewhere in those regions. Hotels owned by Minor but operated by third parties grew like-for-like system sales by 6%, buoyed by robust demand in Africa and Thai resorts, while the mixed-use division – including Anantara Vacation Club, The Wolseley Hospitality Group, residential, spa and retail businesses – expanded system sales by 16%. Delivering such a strong first-quarter performance in what is traditionally our toughest season shows the power of our trusted brands and the agility of our people. We will keep building momentum through 'asset right' expansion and sharper distribution while maintaining strict discipline on operating and capital costs, with a clear focus on further debt reduction to strengthen our balance sheet.
