22nd annual Rochester Jazz Festival lineup announced
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The lineup for the 22nd Rochester International Jazz Festival is here! Jazz Fest will feature more than 285 shows at 18 different venues with more than 1,750 artists from nine countries. Some headliners include Smokey Robinson, The Wood Brothers, Rickie Lee Jones and more. The festival will provide 110 free shows, a Club Pass Series, free jazz workshops, and nightly jazz sessions. There will also be free and ticketed headliner shows. All ticketed headliner shows go live at 8:00 p.m. inside Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre with reserved seating. This year's Club Pass offers a nine-day pass before March 10 for $294 with a $6 surcharge. After March 10 the price will rise to $324 with the same surcharge. There is also a three-day pass offered for $194 with a $6 surcharge before March 10. Starting March 11 that price will rise to $214 with the same surcharge. People can also buy a gift certificate for the amount they choose. You can enter the gift code on the ticket page at the festival's website. Certificates purchased after July 1, 2024, will expire on July 1, 2025. The festival will stretch over nine days from June 20 to June 28. Smokey Robinson among new headliners announced for Rochester Jazz Festival
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Four new headliners have been announced for the Rochester International Jazz Festival — one of whom is a Grammy-winning singer. Acclaimed singer-songwriter Smokey Robinson has been announced as one of the new headliners. This will be the first time since 2009 that he's performing on opening night at the Jazz Festival, which is on Friday, June 20. Other ticketed headliners that were announced include award-winning singer-songwriter Rickie Lee Jones (Tuesday, June 24), American Roots band The Wood Brothers (Wednesday, June 25), and bassist/singer-songwriter Thundercat (Thursday, June 26). The first headliner announced for the Jazz Festival was Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. They will be performing at Kodak Hall on Saturday, June 21.
