Family show and bashment party among Newport events this weekend
'The Worst Princess' will be performed at The Riverfront Theatre in Kingsway on May 10 and May 11.

Full House Theatre's new family show is based on the best-selling picture book and promises to offer "laugh-out-loud comedy, cool puppets, sing-along pop anthems and a dazzling larger-than-life dragon."
Tickets are priced at £14 for adults, £12 for children, and a group of four can attend for £49.
The show is suitable for ages three and above and will be performed at 10.30am and 2pm on May 10 and 11.
Newport's biggest basement party is also back this weekend with a Spring Carnival Party set to take place at Legacy Lounge on May 10 from 10pm until 4am.
(Image: Supplied) The event will see the venue transformed into a Caribbean escape with rum punch on arrival, jerk chicken, reggae, afrobeats, soca, and more.
DJ Empire Flipz and Pandora will also be playing music throughout the night.
Tickets are available in advance or on the door, with last entry at 1am.
An evening of music will also be held at the Pill Harriers Sports and Social Club on May 10.
The event, titled 'An Evening with Newport Borough Band & Risca Male Choir', will see the Newport Borough Brass Band present 'Movies & Musicals', a night of music from the stage and screen.

The event will celebrate Newport's rich heritage as the "land of music and song", with the Risca Male Choir joining in the festivities.
The Newport Borough Band were also crowned the winners of the National Eisteddfod in 2024.
A spokesperson for the Newport Borough Brass Band said: "Join us for an evening of music celebrating our rich heritage as the land of music and song, with a selection of music from the stage and screen.
"Newport Borough Brass Band presents Movies & Musicals.
"A night to reminisce about the bright lights of Hollywood and the streets of Broadway with our friends, Risca Male Choir.
"An evening celebrating the winners of the National Eisteddfod 2024."
Tickets are priced at £7.50 and can be purchased on the door.
