Ode to Food and Drinks is back open at new location
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) —A Sioux Falls restaurant is back open after relocating. While people had dined at Ode to Food and Drinks inside the Cherapa Place for 10 years, you can now find them in the Country Inn & Suites in downtown Sioux Falls. The restaurant has spent the last 2 weeks moving. 'All of our employees have been super helpful. And, there's a lot of, you know, love and care put into all of this. They helped us with taking out ceiling tiles, which is a messy job, putting them back up and painting and, recovering booths and, you know, bringing over our furniture and lighting and everything,' Ode to Food and Drinks owner, Theresa Flannery Kramer said. Summit asks PUC for more time on CO2 pipeline 'A lot of people come stay at this hotel specifically for the, like, river view that the old restaurant used to provide. I would say it's kind of, not like a cult, but a group thing. Like, I came to find out a lot of our, regulars specifically stay here for the restaurant. So they are also excited as well,' Country Inn & Suites, Alan Thongvanh said. The new location has a patio that will bring a different aspect to their new space. 'This one is definitely more of, like, when you want to go have a drink on a patio kind of patio vibe, and it's a lot closer to the water,' Flannery Kramer said. And with their Irish roots, it was important to the owners to be open by St. Patrick's Day weekend. 'We are an Irish family, and we have over the past ten years, we have really, brought in a lot of our Irish favorites. And, we've already had some calls of people going, where are you? Where can I get my corned beef and cabbage? Where can I get my Irish curry? So, you know, getting open before was really important,' Flannery Kramer said. Today is the first day Ode to Food is open at their new location. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

A toast to new beginnings for downtown restaurant
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls restaurant is relocating after nearly ten years of business inside the Cherapa Place business center. Ode to Food and Drinks owner Theresa Flannery Kramer says their new location remains a surprise for now, but hopes to reopen in early to mid-March. Staff served their customers one final time at its Cherapa Place location on Saturday evening. 'It's actually one of my favorite restaurants,' Sheila Hoff said. 'We're excited to see where it's going to be at, and we'll probably be one of the first reservations at their new location,' April Kelling said. Car goes through ice Tuesday near Bryant Flannery Kramer says the move will help control costs, and the new location will remain in downtown Sioux Falls. 'We are 100% opening again. Our location is pretty sure, but we do have a backup location should anything fall through,' Flannery Kramer said. Customers dining in tonight had a chance to enjoy some of their favorites one last time at the current location. 'I always love the ahi tuna, but they have many great selections,' Hoff said. 'Their seafood is fantastic.' Some were even stumped on what to pick as a favorite. 'That's a tough one. I really think, you know, you can't go wrong,' Troy Johnson said. Some of those will be making the move to the new building along with a popular customer request. 'We'll have a little smaller menu, but we are bringing back something that we have been asked for five years to bring back,' Flannery Kramer said. 'That's our Bloody Mary bar.' Managment says all gift cards will be honored once the new space opens. They're also working with anyone who had previously booked an event at the Cherapa Place location.
