Jason Kelce Gets Disappointing News on Tuesday Night

Jason Kelce's career has been a whirlwind of success since retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles last March. After signing a three-year, $24 million contract with ESPN, he joined "Monday Night Countdown" as a co-host alongside Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark, and Marcus Spears. Advertisement The former All-Pro center also launched the network's first late-night show, "They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce." After his first year on the job, the 37-year-old earned a Sports Emmy nomination for Outstanding Emerging On-Air Talent. "New Heights," the weekly podcast he co-hosts with his younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, celebrated on X. The show posted, "Gotta add Emmy nominee to your resume now Congrats @jasonkelce." This marked his third Sports Emmy nomination, but first solo nod. His previous two nominations stemmed from his Prime documentary series, "Kelce." ESPN commentator Jason Medley-Imagn Images The seven-time Pro Bowler faced heavy competition in the Outstanding Emerging On-Air Talent category. Advertisement Other nominees included Nick Saban for his work on ESPN's College GameDay and Jay Wright, who covers NCAA basketball on CBS and TNT. Former NFL stars Ryan Fitzpatrick and Richard Sherman each eared nominations for their work on Prime's Thursday Night Football. The winners of the 46th annual Sports Emmys were announced on May 20 at Lincoln Center in New York City, and Saban, 73, walked away with the trophy for Outstanding Emerging On-Air Talent. Saban told WBRC 6 News of possibly winning his first Sports Emmy on Tuesday morning, "A lot of people helped contribute to learning how to do it. So I certainly appreciate them and thank them for that. Advertisement "We've had a really good team of people with lots of experience that I think helped me fit into the program," as works alongside TV veterans such as Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, and Pat McAfee. While Kelce didn't walk away with the prestigious award, after the Golden Globes announced they're adding a "Best Podcast" category, perhaps it won't be long until the Super Bowl champ is hoisting another trophy. Jason Kelce Reveals Alarming Injury Struggles as Travis Kelce Teases Brother's Comeback

Jason Kelce may be enjoying retirement, but his body clearly didn't get the memo. The former Eagles center, now 37, opened up about his growing list of physical issues during a recent episode of the "New Heights Podcast" with brother Travis Kelce—and the update was far from encouraging. Once a 295-pound powerhouse on the field, Kelce revealed that he's slimmed down to around 270 pounds. But beyond the weight loss, it's the pain that's been piling up. Advertisement When Travis jokingly suggested Jason could make a comeback as a tight end, his response was immediate: 'Can't. No. My ankles and knees and back won't let me. – It's getting bad.' Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce kisses his brother Jason Kelce after a game at Arrowhead Biggerstaff-Imagn Images Kelce admits even light workouts are now a challenge 'I'm trying to lift weights, straining muscles. My ankle, playing golf last week, is inflamed. I can't squat now because my ankle hurts. I can't bench because I sprained my pecs,' he said. For a player who only missed significant time twice in his entire NFL career, the breakdown feels sudden—and real. Despite the physical toll, Kelce isn't slowing down professionally. In addition to co-hosting "New Heights", he recently joined ESPN's "Monday Night Countdown" alongside Marcus Spears and Ryan Clark. He also launched his own talk show earlier this year, "They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce." Advertisement He might be sidelined from football physically, but Jason Kelce's post-retirement chapter is just getting started. The Eagles legend has already catapulted his career to new levels. Even if the body won't cooperate, the personality clearly hasn't lost a step. Jason Kelce Makes Sweet Admission About His New Baby

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce may have retired from the NFL in 2024, but the They Call It Late Night host is busier than ever. The Super Bowl champion and his wife, Kylie Kelce — parents to three daughters, Wyatt Elizabeth, Elliotte Ray, and Bennett Llewellyn — welcomed their fourth daughter, Finnley 'Finn' Anne, on March 30, 2025. Now, the football player turned ESPN analyst is giving fans insight into how his girls are adjusting to their new baby sister and how he's navigating life as the ultimate girl told E! News at the Amazon upfronts this May that life with four daughters is 'a lot,' and revealed that former youngest daughter Bennett 'Benny' has been having a tough time adjusting. She only recently told her baby sister, 'I love you' — a moment Kelce called a 'big step' for the family. Though Bennett was slow to surrender her role as the baby of the family, Kelce shared that his daughter Wyatt has fully embraced being a big sister. She's taken the new baby 'under her wing' and is trying to be just like Mom. We're big fans of Kylie's Not Gonna Lie podcast, so it's safe to say that being just like Kylie is a pretty great goal. Kelce called the evolution 'fun to watch.' Fans can't get enough of the sweet family, commenting things like 'That's so cute' and 'Love that for them." Charles Barkley gives heated response in 'stupid' debate about transgender athletes

'Men should not play sports against women. If anybody thinks that, I think they're stupid.' NBA Hall of Famer Charlies Barkley speaks during an appearance on They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce. AP Photo Charles Barkley is a man who never shies away from controversial topics, no matter which side he lands on. On Thursday, he weighed in on the hot-button topic of transgender athletes in sports, an issue that has caused heated debate over the past few years. The basketball legend, who currently serves an NBA analyst, was very blunt with his take during an appearance on Meet Pat Spencer, the NBA's most unlikely player who went from lacrosse legend to the Leagueance on Outkick's Don't @ Me with Dan Dakich. Barkley called those who support transgender athletes being able to compete in women's sports 'stupid.' 'I'm gonna make this very simple for you, Dan: Men should not play sports against women,' Barkley said. 'I'm not gonna get into all the bulls*** that's going on out here in the world today. 'Men should not play sports against women. If anybody thinks that, I think they're stupid.' This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. COMMON SENSE IS MAKING A COMEBACK🔥👇🏼 — TONY™ (@TONYxTWO) May 9, 2025 Barkley reiterated his support for the LGBTQ community, but said he won't back down in his stance regarding trans athletes' inclusion in competitive sports. 'I support the gay community 100%. I support the transgender community 100%. But I do not, under any circumstances — zero — think that men should play sports against women,' he said. Earlier this year, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning biological males from women's sports, threatening schools to either comply or face the loss of federal funds. A day later, the NCAA changed its eligibility policies for transgender competitors. Barkley, an NBA hall of famer, said that no amount of public pressure would get him to change his stance on the subject. 'If anybody has a problem with that, they're gonna have to get over it because I'm not gonna change my (mind). I just think it's wrong, period,' he said. This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. 'If people disagree with me, I'm good with that. Hey, we disagree, I'm not mad at you, I don't hate you, I'm not going to call you names because that's just silly and stupid. 'I'm never going to think it's alright for men to play sports against women.' Read More While the outspoken star has shared controversial opinions in the past, he didn't feel like this was one of them. 'I don't even think that's controversial,' he added. 'When you see these debates on TV … I'm done, I don't wanna hear you try to explain it to me. No, no, no, I don't wanna hear it. I'm not gonna argue with you. Men shouldn't play sports against women. I'm done.' Dakich had broached the subject with Barkley by asking the 11-time all-star about unfounded reports that Nike had funded a study on transgender children in sports that looked at the effects of hormone therapy and puberty blockers on 'trans adolescents.' Barkley said he was unaware of the reports but then said that he felt children should not be exposed to the life-altering drugs. 'I don't even think anybody knows who they are as a young kid. So, I think we have to be very careful because you don't want to put kids in a disadvantageous situation, because, hey, when you get older, you can make your own decision,' he said. 'I think we have to be very careful screwing around with kids because they're not fully developed as a person.' Canada Sunshine Girls Canada Columnists Toronto Maple Leafs

Jason and Kylie Kelce are parents of 4: What to know about their family

Former NFL star Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie are the parents of four daughters. Jason and Kylie Kelce announced the birth of their fourth child, a girl, in an Instagram post on April 1, sharing that their daughter Finn was born on March 30. "Whoop, there she is! Finnley 'Finn' Anne Kelce," the couple wrote, sharing their daughter's full name. The couple gave a humorous glimpse into their lives as "normal" parents in a commercial for popular Philadelphia convenience store chain Wawa, showing Jason Kelce, who retired from the NFL in 2024, helping around the house. "He's just a regular dad now," Kylie Kelce says in the August 2024 commercial, over a shot of Jason Kelce fumbling Wawa sandwiches while locking a car. The Kelces regularly collaborate on projects together, with Kylie Kelce even singing in one song on Jason Kelce's new Christmas album "A Philly Special Christmas Party," a charity album that also features Stevie Nicks, Boyz II Men, Mt. Joy and more artists. Since retiring from the NFL, Jason Kelce has turned to broadcasting as an analyst for ESPN and the host of a late-night show on the network, "They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce." When the 13-year Eagles veteran announced his retirement from the NFL, he gave a special acknowledgment to Kylie Kelce, saying, "I think it's no coincidence I have enjoyed my best years of my career with Kylie by my side." "Every accolade I have ever received has come with her in my life," he added. "She has brought the best out of me through love, devotion, support, honesty, intelligence, and, of course, a swift kick in the a-- from time to time." Likewise, Kylie Kelce, who launched her own podcast in December 2024, shared her support for her husband as he embarked on a new chapter, writing on Instagram, in part, "As always, the girls and I will be there cheering you on every step of the way!" Kylie Kelce has also remained a devoted Eagles fan even after her husband's retirement. Ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl between the Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs -- the team for whom her brother-in-law Travis Kelce plays -- Kylie Kelce told "Good Morning America" she would always cheer on Travis Kelce's success, but added, "Go Birds." Jason Kelce has said previously he knew even before marrying his wife that he wanted to be a father. "I was reminded by my dad of a story when my brother was born," he said in an interview from 2019. "My brother [Travis Kelce] was [born] two years after I was … I was in the waiting room .... and one of the nurses came up [and asked me,] 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' and I said, 'Oh, I want to be a dad.' So it's kind of come full circle." The Kelces have also shown their closeness to their extended family, most notably, each of their parents. On a Sept. 4, episode of "New Heights," Jason Kelce shared what his daughters call their grandparents. 'The girls call Kylie's mom Nana,' Jason Kelce said, adding that they call his wife's dad, "Skeeter." 'They call Donna Didi … And they call Ed, our dad, pop,' he said, referring to his and Travis Kelce's parents, Donna and Ed Kelce. Get to know the Kelce family below. Kylie Kelce was born in the Philadelphia suburb of Narberth, Pennsylvania, and studied communications in college. She played field hockey for Cabrini University, and continues to support young athletes playing the sport. Jason and Kylie Kelce married in 2018 after meeting through Tinder, according to an episode of Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce's "New Heights" podcast. The Kelces jokingly referenced their online beginnings on Valentine's Day, when Kylie Kelce shared a photo on Instagram of her husband wearing a shirt featuring Tinder's logo as the pair enjoyed a meal together on Feb. 14. "Are you kidding me with this?" Kylie Kelce wrote on the photo, along with a heart face emoji. MORE: NFL player Jason Kelce shares inspiration behind the name of his newborn baby In April 2024, the Kelces celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary, a milestone Kylie Kelce marked by sharing memories from their wedding day on Instagram story. "6 years since we said 'I do'," she wrote at the time. The Kelces wed in Philadelphia on April 4, 2018, just two months after Jason Kelce won Super Bowl LII as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. Kylie Kelce is known to be a diehard Eagles fan who refuses to wear other NFL teams' gear (even when her brother-in-law played in the Super Bowl). "Kylie got some love from the Philadelphia fans for her continued refusal to wear Chiefs gear even though she has personal connections," Jason Kelce said on his "New Heights" podcast after the 2024 Super Bowl. "She will not do it … I try to tell her, 'Listen Kylie, we have family in the game. It's OK to cheer on that team. They're not playing the Eagles.' She just refuses to do it." The mom of three stepped out in February for her fashion show debut, attending the Alberta Ferretti Fall 2024 ready-to-wear show at Milan Fashion Week. In a January 2024 interview with "Good Morning America," Kylie Kelce said she is still not used to the attention surrounding her life. "I almost feel a little guilty that people are so interested in and invested in what I'm doing," she said. "I'm like, I am trying to scrape applesauce off the couch ... this is not that fascinating. So it's funny to me. I deeply appreciate the support." She has also been open about parenting. In a commencement speech delivered in May at Cabrini University, her alma mater, Kylie Kelce spoke about "winging it" as a parent while trying your best. "Just look at me now. I'm 32, mom of three. Where did the time go? I couldn't tell you, but what I can tell you is I have no idea what I'm doing," she said in her speech. "Every day we are winging it, just trying not to mess our kids up. Come to find out, that's what our parents did, too. I'm not trying to ruin the mirage that is parenting, but I really want you to understand that with determination and a little potentially unjustified confidence, you can get through the times of uncertainty." Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce was born on Oct. 2, 2019, according to her dad's Instagram post. Jason Kelce said in episode 52 of his "New Heights" podcast that he thinks he and Wyatt have a lot in common, including their physical features and their personalities. "She's got my brows. She's got my furrow. Her facial features are very similar," the father of three said. "She's very emotional. She is happy, mad, sad, all of it," he added. On the May 15 episode of his podcast "New Heights," Jason Kelce shared that Wyatt and her sister Elliotte now both attend the same preschool that Kylie Kelce attended as a child. "It's fun listening to your kids talk about what they did for the day, who they're meeting in their little classes," Jason Kelce said of his daughters being old enough to attend school. "It's really cool to hear your kids experiencing things on their own and then come back to share them with you." Elliotte Ray Kelce was born on March 4, 2021. "Ellie looks very much like Kylie's baby pictures," Jason Kelce said on "New Heights." Both Kylie and Jason Kelce agreed that Ellie has stereotypical "second child" energy and tends to be more "easygoing." Bennett, also known as Bennie, is the third and youngest child of the Kelce brood. She was born on Feb. 23, 2023. In a birthday tribute on Instagram, Kylie Kelce wrote that Bennie "is a content, curious, climber that is now getting involved in everything her older sisters are doing. Wish us luck… she's getting faster everyday." The mom of three first shared on Instagram last February that the family had welcomed their "little lady #3" a week after Kelce's Eagles were defeated by brother Travis Kelce's team in Super Bowl LVII. MORE: Jason Kelce's daughter Bennett cheers on dad at 1st NFL game "Benny and Wyatt look alike, and I would say [they have] strong Kelce genes," Jason Kelce said in a September 2023 podcast episode. Finn, the Kelces' fourth daughter, was born on March 30, 2025, according to an Instagram post shared by her parents on April 1. The Walt Disney Co. is the parent company of ESPN and ABC News.
