Two arrested in Thibodaux drug bust

THIBODAUX, La. (WGNO) — Two people have been arrested following a drug bust that occurred in Thibodaux on Thursday, May 29. According to the Thibodaux Police Department, after months of investigation, a search was executed in the 1300 block of Louise Street. As a result, police say the following items were seized: 142 grams of marijuana, packaging materials, three digital scales, three handguns, of which one was made to be fully automatic, rifle upper, 57 bottles of CBD oil, 11 THC vapes, assortment of ammunition and magazines, $1,397, 149 grams of gabapentin, 9 doses of tramadol, 208 grams of liquid codeine and 70 grams of psilocybin-mushroom gummies. They were booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on the following charges: 21-year-old Kaiden Arceneaux, of Thibodaux: Illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a CDS (felony.) Possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor.) Two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I (felony.) Possession of psilocybin – mushrooms (felony.) Unlawful handling of machine guns (felony.) 28-year-old Desmond Fusilier, of Houma: Possession of a firearm/carrying a concealed weapon by a convicted felon (felony.) Illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a CDS (felony.) Two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I (felony.) Possession or distribution of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor.) Possession of codeine (felony.) Possession of psilocybin – mushrooms (felony.) Possession of schedule IV – tramadol (felony.) THIBODAUX, La. (WGNO) — Two men have been arrested after months of drug-related investigations, according to the Thibodaux Police Department. On Jan. 31, Thibodaux Chief Bryan Zeringue announced the arrest of 26-year-old Carmichael Anderson and 51-year-old Terrence Williams on several possession charges. High speed crash in Washington Parish leaves woman dead According to officers, on Thursday, Jan. 30, Narcotics Division officers, in collaboration with the SWAT team, Criminal Investigations Division, Patrol Division, K-9 Division, Housing Division, and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office executed three search warrants. Between the 200 block of Sanders Street and the 100 block of Iris Street, officers reported finding a large amount of illegal drugs including: Approximately 113gg of Methamphetamine 49gg of Ecstasy (MDMA) 13gg of Crack Cocaine Nearly 6 Pounds of Marijuana 10gg of Klonopin 30 doses of Suboxone 1gg of Heroin 1gg of Powder Cocaine Two syringes of an unknown liquid (Pending Testing) An assortment of Drug Paraphernalia .223 Caliber Pistol Brace Style AR-15 .22 Caliber Pistol Brace Rifle 9mm Pistol Converted to Fully Automatic Assorted ammunition and magazines Nearly $42,000.00 in cash Officers reported as they attempted to serve the warrant, Anderson allegedly ran away and barricaded himself inside an abandoned home. They reportedly chased him around until he surrendered peacefully. Anderson was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on charges of: Possession of Heroin Illegal Carrying of a Weapon in the Presence of a CDS (Felony-3-Counts) Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana (Felony) Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine (Felony) Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine (Felony) Handling of Machine Guns Unlawful (Felony) Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (Felony-3-Counts) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting an Officer Williams was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on charges of: Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana (Felony) Possession with Intent to Distribute Ecstasy (MDMA-Felony) Possession of Suboxone (Felony) Possession of Klonopin (Felony) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia The two are currently waiting for a bond to be set.
