NSD students to undergo Yakshagana training
Thingale Pratishthana inaugurated an 11-day training in Yakshagana by Guru Bannanje Sanjeeva Suvarna for the students of the National School of Drama, New Delhi, on Wednesday, May 21, at Nadsal in Hebri taluk, Udupi district.
Inaugurating the training workshop, Yakshagana patron Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty said the students were fortunate to be trained under Guru Sanjeeva Suvarna. Mr. Suvarna said that any art can be easily learned if one has the right mindset and a challenge for learning.
Mr. Suvarna's students Shruthi Bangera, Pallavi Kodagu, Shishir, Manoj, Karthik and Sumanth performed a demonstration of Yakshagana. As many as 30 NSD students would undergo the training in the workshop.
Pratishthana president Thingale Vikramarjuna Heggade, SND head Vivek, Bhagavathas Lambodara Hegde, Sridhar Hegde and others were present.
