Influencer mom & her date ‘killed by jealous husband' days after she spoke about split – leaving 11 kids without parent
A FITNESS influencer mom and her new date were shot dead, just days after she publicly revealed her breakup on a podcast. Her estranged husband allegedly pulled the trigger before being gunned down himself by an off-duty cop. 5 5 Gloria Zamora, 40, and her date, Hector Garduno, 43, were killed in the restaurant parking lot, according to police and her family. The brutal shooting unfolded late Saturday outside a sushi spot in Fontana, California, approximately fifty miles from Los Angeles. The mom-of-seven had recently gone public on her podcast, HERizon, about her decision to leave her second husband Thomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga. 'They were going through a divorce, that led to this,' Officer Steve Reed with the Fontana Police Department told ABC local affiliate KABC-TV. Police said the pair had been at the restaurant for about an hour before the attack. 'We don't know how he knew where she was at,' Reed said. Zamora's estranged husband, Thomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga, is accused of carrying out the double killing. As shots rang out, several off-duty law enforcement officers were nearby. One of them, a San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy, was driving past the shopping center. 'He made a U-turn at the light, and got out of his vehicle, and confronted the suspect,' Reed said. Zamora was a mom of seven and had over 150,000 followers on Instagram. She was known for her fitness content and motivational posts directed toward women. 'My mom was senselessly taken from us, she was murdered by my stepdad Tomas, in an act of unimaginable violence,' her daughter Jazlynne Zamora wrote in the description. 'She was a light in her community,' she said. 'She always said, 'Women can do anything they set their minds to,' and she lived those words every day.' Garduno, a father of four, was remembered in a separate fundraiser. His children described him as 'a devoted and hardworking man that was tragically murdered and gone too soon.' Police said the investigation into the shooting is still ongoing. The Fontana Police Department didn't immediately respond to a request for comment by The U.S. Sun. 5

Fitness influencer is killed by her ex-husband in hail of bullets outside LA sushi restaurant
A fitness influencer in the process of divorcing her husband was shot and killed by her ex while on a date, before he was gunned down by an off-duty sheriff's deputy. Gloria Zamora, 40, and her boyfriend Hector Garduno, 43, were shot and killed outside of Summa Sushi in Fontana, California, on Saturday night. Investigators with the Fontana Police Department say the two were gunned down by Zamora's ex-husband Thomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga. Officer Steve Reed with the department told ABC7: 'There was a male and a female that were estranged; they were going through a divorce, that led to this. 'We don't know how he knew where she was at, but apparently, she had been at the restaurant for approximately an hour prior to the shooting.' An off duty Sen Barnardino County Sheriff's deputy had been in the vicinity and heard the gunfire, the cop then decided to confront Lizarraga. Lizarraga was then shot and killed. Reed added: 'Apparently, [the deputy] was driving on the street outside the shopping center and heard the gunshots and saw what had happened, made a U-turn at the light, and got out of his vehicle, and confronted the suspect.' The killing of the mother of seven, who has over 150,000 followers on Instagram, came days after she said on the podcast 'HERizon' that she was leaving Lizarraga. An online fundraiser has since been set up for her family by her daughter Jazlynne, who said: 'My mom was senselessly taken from us, she was murdered by my step dad Tomas, in an act of unimaginable violence. 'She leaves behind 7 beautiful children, ages 8 to 24, who are now facing a future without our mother's warmth, guidance, and unconditional love. 'This tragedy has left our family devastated emotionally and financially. We are asking for your help to cover funeral and memorial expenses, and to ease the burden on my siblings and I as we try to navigate life in the wake of this loss. 'Any funds raised will go directly toward funeral costs and support for my siblings and I in the difficult months ahead.' So far the GoFundMe has raised over $24,000 as of Tuesday afternoon, with a target goal of $40,000. Similarly, Garduno leaves behind four children who have also posted an online fundraiser. It says: 'He was a loving, devoted, and hardworking man that was tragically murdered and gone too soon. 'He lived life with strength and did everything he could for his four daughters and family. His passing has left a hole in our hearts and a void in our lives that can never be filled.' Officers said the investigation into the shooting was still ongoing, and the name of the deputy who killed Lizarraga will not be released. Since news of her death emerged, Zamora's Instagram account has been flooded with tributes. One person posted: 'Oh my gosh Gloria. I can't believe this. Rest in peace you beautiful soul.' Another added: 'May you rest in paradise beautiful and continue to look over your babies! Your photos and videos will continue to inspire us!' One other said: 'I don't know you, or your family. You did not deserve this. Life is so precious and in a blink of an eye it's can be taken.
