Admirals' Milic Named Goaltender Of The Week
After back-to-back nights in which he allowed a combined one goal in 52 shots, Norfolk Admirals goalie Thomas Milic was chosen as the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Milic was stellar in net in two games against the Trois-Rivieres Lions. On Feb. 28, the 21-year-old netminder stopped all 21 shots he faced to earn a 4-0 shutout. The following night, he made 30 saves in a 3-1 victory.
The Lions salvaged the third game of the series 7-0 on March 2, but Milic did not play in that game.
For the weekend, Milic went 2-0-0 with a 0.50 goals-against average and .981 save percentage with one shutout.
Drafted in the fifth round (151st overall) by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2023 NHL Draft, Milic is 5-3-0 in eight appearances with Norfolk in 2024-25 with two shutouts, a 1.88 GAA and .936 SP. He has also seen action in 18 AHL games with the Manitoba Moose.
A native of Coquitlam, B.C., Milic has appeared in 26 career ECHL contests with the Admirals, going 16-6-3 with a 2.27 GAA, .917 SP and four shutouts. He is 24-19-4 in 51 games with Manitoba and has one shutout, a 2.99 GAA and .891 SP.
Before he turned pro, the 6-foot, 179-pound Milic appeared in 91 career games with Seattle of the Western Hockey League, posting a 60-23-6 mark with eight shutouts, a 2.35 GAA and .917 SP.
The Admirals return home to the Scope for a three-game series against the Kelly Cup Champion Florida Everblades beginning Wednesday. Puck drop is set for 7:05 Pm ET.
