TOPEKA (KSNT) – A local non-profit received special recognition this week for providing high-quality care and services to the community. Christina Phelps with SLI Topeka announced on Feb. 24 her organization was recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for providing excellent service. The Three-Year Accreditation award represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization's substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving this level of accreditation has gone through a rigorous peer-review process and demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.'
