Breach compromised Three Rivers Hospital data

THREE RIVERS, Mich. (WOOD) — A breach that happened late last year compromised Three Rivers Hospital data, and affected residents are being offered two years of free credit monitoring and identity protection services. On Dec. 4, 2024, CPS Solutions, LLC, a company that supports pharmacy operations of health care clients, was notified that one of its employee's business email accounts was accessed by an unknown third party. The email account was secured the same day and an investigation was launched. CPS Solutions said the investigation found that data from the account was accessed and removed between Dec. 2 and 4. On Jan. 24, CPS Solutions completed the review and identified all customers and individuals potentially impacted. Three Rivers Hopsital was notified on Feb. 10. Personal information that may have been accessed includes: full name, date of birth, health insurance information (such as member/group ID number or Medicaid/Medicare number), and/or medical information (such as medical record number, clinical information, provider information, diagnosis or treatment information, or prescription information such as medication name). 'Social Security Numbers, driver's license numbers, credit and debit card information, bank account information, test results, images, hospital medical records and account passwords were NOT involved for these residents,' a press release said. While CPS Solutions says it is not aware of any misuse of individuals' information, the company is offering affected residents two years of free credit monitoring and identity protection services. Learn more . A review of statements sent from healthcare providers and insurance companies is also encouraged. 'Any questionable charges should be promptly reported to the provider or company with which the account is maintained,' the release said.
