1 killed in Lincoln County crash, troopers say
A person has died following a crash in Lincoln County early Saturday morning, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. It happened just before 5:30 a.m. on Reepsville Road near Lewis Road. ALSO READ: Scholarship honors North Carolina A&T student killed in hit-and-run Troopers said a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero traveling west on Reepsville Road drove off the right side of the road, drove back onto the roadway, crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the road, became airborne, and struck a tree. The driver, 26-year-old Tiffany Lashae Reynolds, died at the scene. Troopers said an initial investigation indicates that excessive speed was the contributing circumstance in the collision. Woman killed after speeding causes airborne crash into tree in Lincoln County: NCSHP
LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A woman is dead after crashing into a tree in Lincoln County, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Around 5:20 a.m. on Saturday, troopers responded to the crash on Reepsville Road near Lewis Road. Officials say a 2002 Mitsubishi Endeavor was going west on Reepsville Road when it drove off the right side of the road, then re-entered the road but crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the road, became airborne, and struck a tree. The driver, 26-year-old Tiffany Lashae Reynolds, was pronounced dead at the scene. Reepsville Road was closed for about one hour during the on-scene investigation.
