Jake Shane Is Best Friends With Big Celebrities. Now He's Ready to Be a Star.
In a 15-second clip, Jake Shane stands before the camera wearing a black hoodie, having a conversation with the air. 'Nope, I literally didn't do that,' he says, playing a defiantly blasé 1998 Bill Clinton. 'Nope, 'cause I'm the president.'
Within weeks, the simple video, posted in February 2023, racked up millions of views, kicked off a new style of TikTok comedy and set Shane, then an assistant at an indie record label, on a completely different career path.
