Did 'Summer House' Lexi Wood Date Drake? What We Know About Celebrity Exes

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Summer House's Lexi Wood's relationship with cast member Jesse Solomon has been a main plot line this season, but she's recently opened up about dating several high-profile people, including Brooklyn Beckham and Drake. Why It Matters Wood entering the arena of reality TV has made her personal life a source of fascination for viewers, from her modeling career to who she's dated. Fans have watched her relationship with Solomon play out on television this season and now that the season is wrapping, Wood is opening up about some of her past relationships. And, while Wood's relationship with her own family has faced scrutiny on the show, she's explained it's not unlike the ones that her famous ex-boyfriends have with their families. Newsweek has reached out to Drake's publicist for comment but has not received a response in time for publication. What To Know The 27-year-old model, who joined Summer House this season, recently addressed speculation about a romantic link with Drake during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. During Wednesday's episode, Cohen took a viewer's question and asked Wood to clarify the "timeline" of her relationship with the well known rapper and actor. Wood laughed and asked if she could "take a sip and pass on this one," grabbing her drink from the table and declining to comment further. Cohen moved on pretty quickly, leaving the question open ended, but Wood's lack of denial of the relationship has sparked fan interest. More Amy Sussman/John Nacion/WireImage/Getty Images Along with talking about her possible relationship with Drake, Wood has been recently opening up about her relationship with Beckham. On the Viall Files podcast she said families that are "in the industry" is what she's used to. She noted they give each other advice, work together when they can and are really close because they travel, live together and "do so much together." On Wednesday's episode of Summer House, Solomon discussed Wood's relationship with her mom and sister, noting how they spent time at her apartment talking about the strains in their relationship and went out to a bar until early in the morning. Wood has said previously that she's extremely close with her sister and mom because they all work together and have a very close relationship. "That mindset is your family has your back period. I do feel like those families are great," Wood said on the Viall Files podcast, referencing families that are in the same industry. Wood and Beckham were spotted together in 2018 and she told Viall that the Beckhams are a "beautiful family" and are the "coolest." Beckham started dating his now-wife, Nicola Peltz in 2019. Talking about Beckham's new relationship, Wood called it "great" and said that she's "so happy for him." She added that she's the type of person that is friends with a lot of her exes. Wood also dated Presley Gerber, the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber. In 2022, Gerber confirmed the relationship on Instagram, writing that Wood is the person that makes him "the happiest I've ever been." Wood posted a photo of her own and wrote that she was "in love" with Gerber. Wood's past relationships have drawn attention as Summer House Season 9 is coming to an end. Throughout the season fans watched the ups and downs of her relationship with Solomon, who said he fell for her immediately after meeting her, but seemed to struggle to adjust to life in a share house with a girlfriend. Wood has expressed on the show that she felt he was behaving one way with her and then turning the house against her by speaking badly about her to her fellow castmates. After filming, Wood accused Solomon of using her for screen time and publicity. On Watch What Happens Live, she told Cohen the "shadiest" thing Solomon said to her about West was that he used his relationship with cast member Ciara to become famous. "Boys need us," Wood said. What People Are Saying Wood told The Daily Dish in April: "I think having the big life that I have had is also something interesting where people are like, 'Oh, wait, I like her, but she's had such a crazy life. I could have that. And that's honestly been my biggest thing—I want people to connect to me and I want people to feel like it is interesting. And that's cool. Let's talk about it." What Happens Next This season of Summer House will end in just a few weeks and Wood told Us Weekly, she wants to end the reunion "stronger" with her fellow cast members than when the season started. In a teaser for next week's episode, a conversation between Wood and Solomon hint at the pair breaking up on the show.

Lauren Zonfrillo reveals heartbreaking reason why she decided to have late husband Jock buried

Lauren Zonfrillo has revealed the heartbreaking reason why she decided to have her late husband buried rather than cremated. The widow of MasterChef Australia star Jock Zonfrillo recently appeared on The Imperfects podcast and made the painful admission she and her children needed a place to visit Jock. 'Jock and I never talked about death, like, "Do you want to get buried or cremated?" she began. 'So, I decided. 'I know Jock would have said, "Don't make a fuss, just cremate me", but the kids and I needed a place. 'And the ritual of the burial was a very important part of them processing what happened. Lauren added she and her children found it cathartic to visit Jock's grave. 'We go and visit him, it's a really nice cemetery. We go out there for Jock's birthday, Father's Day, and have a picnic breakfast,' she said. 'We spend time with Jock, and it makes sense to the kids that they know he is there. 'Alfie always lies on Jock's stomach, like where he used to lie. It makes sense to them, they can visualise it is a place where Jock is resting.' The celebrity chef was found dead in a Melbourne hotel room about 2am on May 1, 2023 after police were called to conduct a welfare check on the 46-year-old. His grieving widow raced home to Australia from Italy with the couple's two young children, where she was faced with seeing his body in a Melbourne morgue. At the time of Zonfrillo's death, Lauren had been in Italy and reportedly became concerned when her husband failed to keep to their usual daily schedule of telephone calls. A senior Victoria Police source told Daily Mail Australia that officers who attended Zagame's House in Carlton found Zonfrillo dead in his bed and saw no obvious signs of anything suspicious or unusual. There was no drug paraphernalia located, no one else in his room and police at the scene formed the initial view Zonfrillo had died of natural causes. Lauren has never publicly discussed Zonfrillo's cause of death and a spokeswoman for Victoria's Coroners Court told Daily Mail Australia in February that the August 2024 findings of an investigation would not be published. It is unclear if Lauren will reveal what she knows of what happened the night her husband died in her upcoming book Till Death Do Us Part, an extract of which appears in the current edition of The Australian Women's Weekly. Lauren said she 'has an answer' to what killed her husband, but 'it doesn't make a difference' to her grieving process. There was widespread speculation about the cause of Zonfrillo's sudden death due to his well-publicised history of drug abuse and mental health struggles. He left behind Lauren and their two young children, five-year-old Alfie and three-year-old Isla, as well as daughters Ava and Sofia from previous marriages. A source said Zonfrillo kept his health problems from most friends and colleagues, receiving treatment including chemotherapy when MasterChef was not filming. A fortnight after Zonfrillo's death his wife led about 200 mourners who gathered for a funeral at Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium at North Ryde on May 13, and he was later interred there. Among those who attended the service were celebrity chefs George Calombaris, Matt Moran, Colin Fassnidge, Manu Feildel and Shannon Bennett as well as Jock's co-stars Allen and Melissa Leong. Lauren was among the pallbearers and delivered a eulogy before Jock's friend and fellow Scotsman, Jimmy Barnes, sang Amazing Grace. Jock wrote in his 2021 memoir Last Shot about battling a heroin addiction from his teenage years working as a chef in Glasgow. Before his death, Jock had been preparing for the launch of MasterChef's 15th season, which was set to premiere the night his body was found. According to his book, Jock kept a raging heroin habit hidden from everyone before going back to the UK in 1997 when his visa ran out.

Jock Zonfrillo's widow confronted in new TV interview: ‘People want to know'

Late MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo's widow Lauren has sat down for her first interview since his death, speaking to veteran journalist Liz Hayes for a Spotlight special that will air on Seven this Sunday. And a newly released teaser for the interview suggests Lauren may offer an answer to the biggest mystery surrounding her husband's death almost two years ago: Exactly how he died. Jock, 44, was found dead in a Melbourne hotel room in May 2023. His cause of death has never been publicly released. reported in February this year that a 16-month investigation into the Scottish chef's passing had been completed by the coroner, but the findings would remain private unless his family decides to share them. A video released by Seven today shows Hayes asking Lauren directly if she's willing to share the information publicly. 'People want to know why he died, and how he died,' Hayes tells her. Elsewhere in the video, Lauren appears to detail her thought processes when she saw her husband's body for the first time after his passing. 'Jock, just wake up. Just wake up, open your eyes, give me something – anything,' she says. 'I told him it would be OK … like, I've got this.' Lauren also appears to speak to her own feelings of guilt after her husband's death, telling Hayes that she'd asked herself: 'Could I have been a better wife? Did I love him enough? Did I do enough?' Zonfrillo's body was discovered at Zagame's House hotel on Lygon Street, near Melbourne's CBD, in the early hours of May 1, 2023. Police had been called to the hotel to conduct a welfare check on the father of four, just one day before the latest season of MasterChef was due to premiere. Zonfrillo was survived by Lauren and their two young children – Alfie and Isla – who were on holidays in Rome at the time of his death. It's understood Lauren was the one who made the frantic call to police to check on him after becoming concerned when he stopped answering her calls. A spokesman for Victoria's Coroners Court told in February that the investigation into Zonfrillo's death was privately finalised in late August last year. 'At the close of the investigation, the coroner determined that the finding would not be published,' the spokesman said. Not all coronial findings are required to be published. This new interview comes as Lauren prepares to release a new book about grief following the trauma of losing her husband. Till Death Do Us Part, slated for a May release, is designed to help others find comfort through their own experience of pain and suffering. Lauren's Spotlight interview marks former 60 Minutes correspondent Hayes' first project since joining Seven as a guest correspondent for the program. It's set to air this Sunday at 8pm.

Jock Zonfrillo's wife Lauren reveals the very difficult decision she faced following her husband's death: 'I didn't tell anyone'

Lauren Zonfrillo the wife of the late celebrity chef Jock Zonfrillo has opened up about a crucial decision she made in the wake of her hsband's untimely passing in May, 2023. MasterChef judge Jock was found dead in a Melbourne hotel room after police were called to conduct a welfare check on the 46-year-old. And in a break with tradition, Lauren decided she wanted to be a pallbearer at her husband's funeral. 'I didn't tell anyone I was going to do it until the last minute,' she told the Australian Financial Review in a new interview on Thursday. 'I wasn't sure what people would think and I wasn't asking for any feedback.' Explaining that she felt that it was her responsibility to put Jock to rest she continued: 'Everyone is here to support us, but it is my job. It felt right that I would carry my husband to his place of peace. 'And he would have been carrying me,' she added. 'I was really proud I was able to do that. I think it says a lot to the kids, for them to understand our love for each other.' Jock left behind Lauren and their two young children, five-year-old Alfie and three-year-old Isla, as well as daughters Ava and Sofia from previous marriages. At the time of Zonfrillo's death, Lauren had been in Italy and reportedly became concerned when her husband failed to keep to their usual daily schedule of telephone calls. It is unclear if Lauren will reveal what she knows of what happened the night her husband died in her upcoming book Till Death Do Us Part, which hits shelves on May 6. A fortnight after Zonfrillo's death his wife led about 200 mourners who gathered for a funeral at Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium at North Ryde on May 13. Among those who attended the service were celebrity chefs George Calombaris, Matt Moran, Colin Fassnidge, Manu Feildel and Shannon Bennett as well as Zonfrillo's co-stars Allen and Melissa Leong. Lauren delivered a eulogy before Zonfrillo's friend and fellow Scotsman, Jimmy Barnes, sang Amazing Grace with his daughter Mahalia. Before his death, Zonfrillo had been preparing for the launch of MasterChef's 15th season, which was set to premiere the night his body was found. He was also in the early stages of planning a new restaurant and had started working on a cookbook prior to his death. Zonfrillo and his wife, who married in 2017, had put their four-bedroom Carlton terrace up for rent ahead of a potential permanent move to Italy, where his father was born. Daily Mail Australia previously revealed Zonfrillo had been diagnosed with bowel cancer in mid 2021, after recovering from an earlier bout with the disease. It is not suggested the cancer killed Zonfrillo, only that he had told friends its return was detected after a routine colonoscopy. A source said Zonfrillo kept his health problems from most friends and colleagues, receiving treatment including chemotherapy when MasterChef was not filming. Zonfrillo joined the MasterChef Australia judging panel in 2020 with food critic Leong and restaurateur Allen after original judges Calombaris, Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston left. Daily Mail Australia's Inside Mail revealed this week Liz Hayes would interview Lauren in her first assignment for Seven's Spotlight program after leaving Nine's 60 Minutes.
