Former news reporter named among UK's most influential independent consultants
A former Hereford reporter has been named among the UK's most influential independent consultants.
Alison Gallagher-Hughes, who founded Tillymint Marketing & PR five years ago, was recognised in the inaugural Independent Impact 50.
This accolade honours the significant influence of independent practitioners within the organisations they advise and the PR and communications sector as a whole.
Ms Gallagher-Hughes, a former Hereford Times journalist, was acknowledged for her fearless strategic counsel, her ability to inspire innovative thinking, and her commitment to enhancing communication standards.
She was celebrated alongside 49 other honourees at an event on May 1 at the Swan Theatre in London.
Ms Gallagher-Hughes said: "To be named in the Independent Impact 50 is both humbling and energising.
"It was a privilege to be in the room with so many brilliant independents, each making their mark in their own way.
"This recognition reflects not just individual effort, but the strength and generosity of the independent community."
Ms Gallagher-Hughes established Tillymint Marketing & PR in 2020 after a successful career in PR, working both in-house and agency-side.
She supports the professional development of others and serves as co-chair of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Midlands Group.
The Independent Impact 50 initiative celebrates freelancers and consultants who are helping to evolve and strengthen the PR and communications sector through innovation, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to professional excellence.
Tillymint was also announced as a finalist in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Excellence Awards for the fourth consecutive year.
