Rural Hall man elected to lead Forsyth GOP
A businessman who is a former mayor of Rural Hall was unanimously elected chairman of the Forsyth County Republican Party on March 29 at the party's annual convention, held at Forsyth Tech Community College-West Campus on Bolton Street.
Tim Flinchum served as mayor of Rural Hall from 2019-23 and was a town councilman from 2017-19. Over the years, he has also served as a municipal elected official liaison, precinct chairman, and volunteer assisting multiple, local Republican candidates.
'I look forward to speaking with the citizens of Forsyth County to offer the clear message that the Republican Party is the political party of lower taxes, increased public safety and economic prosperity to our county, state and nation,' Flinchum said.
Flinchum said he is eager to begin his term as chairman at the party's new Winston-Salem headquarters at 420-V Jonestown Road.
