ITV Dancing on Ice star who quit show opens up on moment that led to injury
Dancing on Ice's Josh Jones has opened up about the injury that forced him out of the ITV competition just hours before the latest episode was set to air.
It was announced earlier today (January 26) that the 32-year-old comedian from Failsworth had to pull out of the skating competition after sustaining an injury in rehearsal. He was set to appear in the third episode with professional skating partner Tippy Packard.
Josh said he was 'annoyed' by his early exit and would miss spending time with Tippy. He even revealed they spent New Year's Eve together.

It comes just months after Dame Sarah Storey was forced to quit the show after suffering a painful injury. The cyclist and swimmer took to her Instagram page to share snaps of her leg in a cast after fracturing her left ankle weeks before the show even began.
Josh, who hosts the historical gossip podcast Dead Drama, joined Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern in the studio and said: "So we were skating and then I went over on my ankle."
He added: "And then kind of like twisted my I'm annoyed because I've got a cold sore as well. So I've got a lump on my leg and my ankle."
Stephen sked if he had anything to say to the audience as they were the ones who had kept him in, Birmingham Live reports. Josh then said: "Thank you so much. You've got weird taste but I appreciate it." Holly said everyone was loving their performance last week, and said they had shown 'real promise' in their routine.
Asked about his relationship with Tippy, Josh added: "That's the saddest bit because we get on so much. She's been to my house, I've cooked her a roast and we just like chilling with each other."
Tippy praised Josh's skills on the ice and said his exit was a 'shame'. She said: "We could have done really well, he had so much potential to bring so many laughs to the competition. It's a shame we won't see that journey."
Fans sent Josh their consolations on X. One wrote: "Aww poor Josh," adding a crying and broken heart emoji. Another fan said: "Get well soon Josh. #DancingOnIce."
Dancing on Ice returns next Sunday on ITV.
