Tiruchi District Central Library to hold TNPSC Group IV model test on June 2
The Tiruchi District Central Library will conduct model tests on TNPSC Group IV competitive exams from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m on June 2. The free tests will be held in association with N.R. I.A.S Academy and Rotary Phoenix Club. Portions covered for the Group IV model test will be on Tamil scholars and Tamil social reform from Unit IX development administration in Tamil Nadu; current affairs and problems of simple interest and compound interest in Mathematics. In addition to this, the library is conducting practice sessions on its second floor from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday every week for Groups II, II-A, and IV.

Impressive line-up of activities awaits participants at Tiruchi District Central Library summer camp
Tiruchi District Central Library and its Readers' Forum will be holding a summer camp for children from May 5 to 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on its premises on West Boulevard Road. According to an official release, the camp will kick off with craft classes in origami paper folding to be conducted on May 5 and May 6 by K. Arunabalan, art teacher at Government Higher Secondary School at Arasangudi. On May 7, children will be taught how to convert waste material into art. Among the other activities planned are sessions in writing Tamil essays and drama. Orientation will be given in subjects including archaeology, science, and story-writing. A puppet show will be among the highlights of the camp.

Tiruchi District Central Library to hold Bharathidasan poetry recitation contest for schoolchildren on May 4
The Tiruchi District Central Library and its Readers' Forum will be holding a poetry recitation competition for schoolchildren on May 4, to celebrate the 135th birth anniversary of Tamil poet 'Pavendhar' Bharathidasan. According to a release, the contest will be held as part of the 'Tamil Week', being held between April 29 and May 5. Students from Classes VI to XII are eligible to participate by reciting poems of up to 32 lines. The top three students will be given a cash prize of ₹500 each. Second place winners will get ₹300 and those in third place will win ₹200 respectively. All the winners will be gifted a book of Bharathidasan's poems. Those interested can register their names on the WhatsApp (ph: 9344754036) on or before May 3, the release said.
