To mark the occasion, the restaurant chain that prides itself for "freaky fast" deliveries is giving away $1 million worth of sandwiches. Here's what you should know and how to get your free sandwich. On Monday, March 3, Jimmy John's added three new toasted sandwiches to its menu. Prices start at $8.59 and vary by location. : All-natural chicken, bacon, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, ranch, and ranch seasoning. 950 calories Roast Beef & Cheddar: Roast beef, cheddar cheese, horseradish sauce and crispy fried onions, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayor. 1,080 calories : The Ultimate Italian sandwich, featuring capocollo, salami, ham, bacon, Parmesan and provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, oregano, basil, oil and vinegar. 1,110 calories The restaurant told USA TODAY it has been testing sandwiches at more than 200 stores for the past 1.5 years. Jimmy John's is giving away $1 million worth of the new toasted sandwiches for "Toasted Tuesday," today, March 4. The deal is for one free sandwich per person, while supplies last. The deal is available on the Jimmy John's app or website by using the promo code TOASTEDTUESDAY. Get the app in the Apple App Store or Google Play store. The giveaway will be available all day until the $1 million worth of sandwiches is gone. 'No one does sandwiches like Jimmy John's, and while we may be fashionably late to the Toasted Sandwich party, we've made sure they're worth the wait,' said Darin Dugan, Jimmy John's chief brand marketing officer, in a press release. "Our guests have been patient, so we're saying thanks the best way we know how — by giving away $1 million worth of these crispy, melty sandwiches. They're everything you love about Jimmy John's, now with a toasty twist." It's menu consisted of four sandwiches "made just like they are today with meats sliced fresh in-store and always fresh-baked bread," according to its website. "We use fresh vegetables because we don't hate salads, we just feel bad for them. We slice our provolone cheese and premium meats in-house every day, because packaged pre-sliced meats doesn't have the same ring to it. And we bake bread all day, every day because stale bread isn't bread, it's … croutons." Jimmy John's said it bakes French bread and wheat sandwich bread in the store, with French bread baked every four hours. "If no bread is more your style, we prep fresh leaves of lettuce to make your favorite sandwich into a lettuce-wrapped Unwich. All sandwich, no bread."
