Amazon makes drastic change to this year's Prime Day that will benefit bargain shoppers
Here's a primer on the upcoming Amazon deals. Amazon's Prime Day is about to get even bigger — and bargain hunters will soon have a whole lot more time to score incredible deals. For the first time, Amazon is extending its highly anticipated shopping event from two days to four. Amazon Prime Day deals will now be offered for four days this summer. TIkTok/@amazon The 2025 Prime Day will begin at 12:01 am PDT on July 8 and run through July 11. This is the event's first change since 2017, when the annual summer sale increased from one day to two. Amazon's Prime Day has long been a fan favorite for online shoppers with its steep discounts on everything from high-tech gadgets to household essentials. No matter what you're stocking up for, with more days to shop and an even broader selection, shoppers are sure to find something they want for cheap. This year's sale kicks off on July 8. Christopher Sadowski 'With an extended 4-day event, our Prime members will have more time and flexibility to conveniently shop, while enjoying exclusive deals and incredible savings,' an Amazon spokesperson told the Daily Mail. The move comes at a time when inflation and economic uncertainty have made consumers more likely to pinch their pennies. The extended day sale will allow customers to take their time before pulling the trigger on a major buy. TIkTok/@amazon Having more time to pull the trigger on an Amazon purchase allows shoppers to take a strategic approach to their purchases. And extending the sale isn't the only change Amazon has announced for this sale. This year's Prime Day will introduce 'Today's Big Deals,' a daily themed deal drop that features some of the event's most exciting savings. Shoppers can expect exclusive discounts on items in all categories that Amazon sells, with new deals launching daily at midnight PDT. The event that takes place across 20 countries, including the U.S., the UK, Germany, Japan, and Australia — is only for Prime members. This is a situation where, sometimes, an annual fee ends up saving you money in the long run. This year, Amazon is upping its game with new AI-powered shopping tools that make it easier than ever to track deals. Prime members can use Amazon's generative AI assistant, Rufus, to find personalized recommendations based on their shopping interests. Whether you're an Amazon veteran or a newcomer, Prime Day 2025 promises to be one for the books — the only product they used to sell.

Amazon Prime Day 2025 is coming - and here's everything you need to know
Metro journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission – learn more Amazon Prime Day is the sale to top all sales. But this year Amazon is upping the ante even more because the sale extravaganza will run for the longest duration to date! Usually, Amazon Prime Day runs for 48 hours, but this year, Amazon will last for a whopping 96-hours, which is quite something. As the sale will run for a longer duration, it means there will be even more deals and discounts to shop from leading brands in July. The Prime Day sale will see products across all departments reduced, such as fashion, beauty, garden, home, and entertainment. We expect the usual culprits will be reduced in this year's sale, including Dyson, CeraVe, Ninja, Shark, and Bose, plus many more recognised labels. Amazon's Prime Day sale is eligible for all to shop, however, Prime members will be able to shop even more discounts and receive free delivery too. The question on everyone's lips is 'When is Amazon Prime Day 2025?' This year it will run from 8th to 11th July, which means plenty of time to snap up a bargain or two. However, the deals will not last forever, and not least because stock is bound to sell out. But because Amazon will run time-limited discounts, such as Today's Big Deals and New Deal Drop. Today's Big Deals are daily themes curated specifically for Prime members, while New Deal Drop are limited-time only deals that will launch at midnight every day throughout the 96-hour sale. If you're not a Prime member, it is super easy to sign up. New customers can select a 30-day free trial, which they can cancel at any time. More Trending If you wish to continue the subscription, it will cost just £8.99 per month. However, those aged 18 to 22 years old will be able to secure a discounted Prime membership with all the same benefits. This will see the price drop to £4.49 a month or £47.49 annually. We strongly recommend it, considering the deals on offer come Prime Day and throughout the year. Amazon has remained tight-lipped about what will be included in the Prime Day sale, but we have lived (and worked) through plenty, so we have a good idea what you can expect. Here are some of our predictions, and what to bookmark for the Prime Day sale. Looking for voluminous lashes and a longer flutter, this mascara with bamboo extract for a weightless, nourishing and longer looking lash. The silicone brush tapers into smaller bristles at the top to get into tighter corners of the lash to coat every individual lash. BUY NOW FOR £7.85 (WAS £12.99) We swear by Shark's FlexStyle, which is said to rival the Dyson Airwrap but for less. This tool uses powerful airflow technology to dry and style the hair, whether it is long or short in length. The five attachments include a diffuser, funnel tool for straight hair, two barrels, as well as a round bristle brush and paddle brush, which can be used to dry, straighten and curl your tresses. BUY NOW FOR £258.98 (WAS £279.99) It's got 20,000 reviews from shoppers – and for good reason. Formulated with salicylic acid and niacinamide, which works to unclog congested pores. While three essential ceramides work to hydrate the skin while also combatting blemishes and breakouts. BUY NOW FOR £9.26 (WAS £13) The Ribcage range is a favourite for those wanting a straight fit jean and high waistline. This particular style is ideal for those wanting a longer length jean, rather than the classic ankle grazer style. It pairs perfectly with loafers, ballet pumps, trainers, sandals, heels and boots. A staple you will certainly get your cost per wear out of. BUY NOW FOR £55 (was £111.63) People are saying this design looks very similar to the Khaite The Benny belt, which retails for £500. Team with jeans, shorts, tailored trousers, a skirt or dress, there's always a reason for a belt. BUY NOW FOR £9.99 A summer sale is the prime time to shop for a new pair of summer sandals, and of course we need Birkenstock's iconic Arizona sandals. The cross foot strap is adjustable so you can secure your feet in place. Plus, they complement every outfit. BUY NOW FOR £75.94 (was £96.47) With over 47,000 glowing reviews, it's safe to say this bean to cup coffee machine is a hit with coffee consumers. It features 13 adjustable grind settings, a milk frother, as well as easy to use one-touch buttons to create an espresso or frothy coffee in an instant. BUY NOW FOR £299.99 (WAS £349) Stay hydrated in the summer with Stanley's iconic Quencher 2.0, which can hold 1.2 litres of water inside. It keeps your drinks cooler for longer, which is no mean feat in a heatwave. You can remove the straw and take on the go with no spillages. Plus, it's available in numerous colours. BUY NOW FOR £35 (WAS £45) It wouldn't be an Amazon Prime Day sale without an Air Fryer deal. This tool allows you to air fry, crisp, roast, bake, reheat, and dehydrate your ingredients in the non-stick baskets, which are dishwasher safe.
