After Halle Berry and Van Hunt had their first joint interview on 'Today with Jenna & Friends' on Wednesday, the couple confirmed that Hunt, 55, already proposed to Berry, 58 — but the actress has yet to say yes. She shares son Maceo-Robert, 11, with Martinez and daughter Nahla Ariela, 17, with model Gabriel Aubry, whom she dated from 2005 to 2010. 'I think we will get married just because, out of the people I've been married to, this is the person I should have married,' Berry told Today about Hunt. 'And I feel like I should, we should get married, but it's not because we feel like we have to. The Today Show studio was abuzz with excitement after Jenna Bush Hager announced some huge news. The TV favorite shared that she would be leaving New York to go to Nashville for her own literary festival - and shared that a very special guest would be joining her. Speaking on the show alongside co-host Susanna Guthrie on Thursday, Jenna could not contain her excitement with her news. Jenna, host of NBC's Today With Jenna & Friends, a slot she used to present with Hoda Kotb , she said: "Breaking actress and best selling author, Tiffany Haddish, is coming to join me for the first ever Read With Jenna Book Festival." The event will take place on May 30 and 31 and is set to be wall to wall with celebrities and interesting famous faces. Wanda Sykes thinks a certain mermaid fell for a ploy, hook, line and sinker. On Thursday's episode of 'Today with Jenna & Friends' the comedian and co-host Jenna Bush Hager wasted no time jumping right in to discuss University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill head football coach Bill Belichick, 73, and his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson's seemingly strange romance. After unpacking the pair's odd dynamic during a CBS News interview over the weekend — in which Hudson seemed weirdly controlling — Bush Hager was eager to analyze photos of the couple posted to Hudson's Instagram grid. The 'Pootie Tang' alum seemed particularly creeped out by one cringey photo the two shot together on the beach. The photo, which is part of a slideshow post, features the former NFL coach dressed as a fisherman holding a rod while Hudson dons a mermaid costume and lies awkwardly in the sand, belly up. 'What is this?' Sykes said with an air of disbelief before getting seriously concerned for Belichick's well-being. 'Coach, look, if there's a problem, send me one of your Super Bowl rings,' Sykes said, giving the former New England Patriot an out if he felt his life was in danger. 'Ship me one of your rings, and Jenna and I will come get you!' 'Is he OK? What's happening?' the comedian mused elsewhere in the segment. After Bush Hager and Sykes joked around about how the photos gave them secondhand embarrassment, the comedian's shock had subsided enough that she shared a theory on how they came to be. Bush Hager was under the assumption that Hudson forced the photoshoot on Belichick — and Sykes agreed, but she had a caveat. 'Just think about it,' Sykes began. 'Do you really want to have a conversation with a 24 year old?' She continued, 'I mean, I'm 61! And if someone 24 starts talking to me, I'm like, 'Oh God, make it stop. Please make it stop!' You know what? … I would go, 'You know, yeah! Let's go dress up like a mermaid' just so I can shut you up. If this will stop you from talking, give me the fishing rod. As long as I don't have to have a conversation.' The couple has received an onslaught of attention since Belichick's interview with CBS News. During the segment, Belichick was asked how the couple met, and before he could answer, Hudson piped up from off camera and said sternly, 'We're not talking about this,' essentially shutting the question down. The bizarre moment quickly went viral, prompting Hudson to do some seemingly sketchy damage control on social media, which backfired. This spurred Belichick to defend Hudson in a statement sent to HuffPost on Wednesday. In the statement, Belichick said he was told that the CBS interview would focus solely on his new book, 'The Art of Winning ― Lessons from My Life in Football,' and he was 'surprised when unrelated topics were introduced.' 'After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion,' he wrote. Belichick emphasized that Hudson was 'not deflecting any specific question or topic' but was 'simply doing her job.' 'Some of the clips make it appear as though we were avoiding the question of how we met,' Belichick said. 'But we have been open about the fact that Jordon and I met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021.' The couple's story that they met on a flight is one that Sykes certainly was not buying on 'Today' Wednesday. 'I think it's public knowledge how they met,' Bush Hager said. 'They met on an airplane. What's so bad about that?' 'Right… Yeah, on an airplane,' Sykes said sarcastically while side-eyeing the backstage staff and audience suspiciously — and receiving a ton of laughter in response. He also opened up about his older kids, one of whom has a 'classic teenager' job. Just like his older kid, the star implied that he wanted his and 's kids — Violet, 19, Seraphina, 16, and Samuel, 13 — to work hard if they wanted to splurge on lavish items. Ben Affleck may be filthy rich, but that doesn't mean his kids can use the money to get whatever they want. On April 22, the actor appeared on 'Today with Jenna & Friends' and reflected on a viral video where he rejected his son Samuel's wish to buy a $6,000 pair of Dior Air Jordan sneakers. Affleck joked about having to 'mow lawns' to be able to afford the expensive shoes. Speaking to hosts Andy Cohen and Jenn Bush Hager, Affleck recalled how his 13-year-old son responded. Samuel told his dad that they had the money to purchase the sneakers. However, the actor corrected his kid, stating that he had the money but that Samuel was 'broke.' He also shared crucial parenting advice that would help his kids understand the value of money by working hard. Affleck noted that he would go to great lengths for his children because he loves them. But, he explained that one would do their kids a 'disservice' by not teaching them to work for what they want. The actor revealed that his other two kids have jobs — one has a 'classic, teenager working in the shop job,' while another is working and trying for an internship this summer. Affleck further explained that Samuel was now 'reckoning with reality' since he rejected the teenager's request for sneakers. Speaking to the hosts, the filmmaker recalled telling his son that he would have to work a 'minimum wage' job that would eventually make the kid think twice before buying the pricey shoes. What to know about the all-female Blue Origin space launch
Blue Origin continued its space tourism endeavors Monday morning with a brief trip into space with a historic all-female, celebrity-packed crew. Dave Limp, the CEO of Jeff Bezos's space company, shared a photo on the social platform X of the team after landing safely in their capsule. Here's what to know about the historic flight. Pop star Katy Perry, media personality Gayle King, and Lauren Sánchez, Bezos's fiancée, were among the high-profile travelers aboard Blue Origin's New Shepard capsule and rocket, which was automated. Former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, film producer Kerianne Flynn and civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen also were on board. Sánchez, a philanthropist and former entertainment reporter, was credited with spearheading the trip. The women flew nearly 66 miles into space, elevating just above the Kármán Line, considered the boundary of the atmosphere and outer space, before landing back in the West Texas desert, as scheduled. According to Blue Origin's official stats on the mission, the crew capsule reached 346,802 feet above ground level, or about 65.6 miles. At that height, the crew was 350,449 feet above sea level, or about 66.3 miles. While in space, they were able to peer back down to Earth and out to the broader void, while experiencing weightlessness. The whole trip clocked in 10 minutes and 21 seconds, according to Blue Origin. Liftoff happened 9:30 a.m. EDT from Blue Origin's launch site in Van Horn, Texas. The crew capsule landed back on Earth at 9:40:21 a.m. Blue Origin explained Sánchez's role and thinking behind the mission in a statement before it happened. 'She is honored to lead a team of explorers on a mission that will challenge their perspectives of Earth, empower them to share their own stories, and create lasting impact that will inspire generations to come,' the statement said. The company noted that the flight was the first flight all-female space flight since 1963. Not everyone was supportive of the idea of the trip before its Monday launch. Actress Olivia Munn called the ordeal 'gluttonous.' 'I'm just saying this, I know this is probably not the cool thing to say but like there are so many other things that are so important in the world right now,' Munn said during an appearance on NBC's 'Today with Jenna & Friends' last week. Blue Origin typically requires a $150,000 deposit per seat for its fleeting space tourists. Other famous names that have headed to space on Blue Origin's past missions have included Bezos, 'Star Trek' actor William Shatner and 'Good Morning America' host Michael Strahan.
