Supergirl Rumor Reveals David Corenswet's Superman Role in DCU Movie
A new rumor suggests that David Corenswet will make a cameo appearance as Superman / Clark Kent in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Corenswet will make his debut as the eponymous superhero in the upcoming feature Superman, slated to release in US theaters on July 11, 2025. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comes out almost a year later and is set to be the second cinematic entry in the DC Universe. Industry scooper @MyTimeToShineH wrote in an X (formerly Twitter) post that Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will feature a cameo from Corenswet's Superman in a flashback scene. 'David Corenswet has a cameo in Supergirl, It's a flashback of Supergirl arriving to Earth with puppy Krypto & Superman opens her ship, smiles & says 'Hi there!'' the post reads. This seems to imply that the movie will take place after the pivotal encounter between Milly Alcock's Kara Zor-El / Supergirl and an adult Superman, which is in line with how things unfold in the comics. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is an adaptation of the namesake comic book miniseries from writer Tom King and artist Bilquis Evely. The eight-issue series came out between 2021 and 2022. It garnered widespread critical acclaim and is ofteen regarded as one of the most important stories of Supergirl. In this story, Kara struggles with a sense of purposelessness. Following Krypton's destruction, Kal-El's safety becomes the primary purpose of her life. However, when she reaches Earth, she discovers that her younger cousin is all grown up. Her life remains in somewhat of a limbo until she encounters Ruthye Marye Knoll, portrayed in the movie by Eve Ridley. Craig Gillespie is directing Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira. Some of the other members of the cast are Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura, and Jason Momoa as Lobo. Tim Tebow speaks at Tri-Cities Community Prayer Breakfast
KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — More than 1,700 people attended the Tri-Cities Community Prayer Breakfast on Monday. Former professional football player Tim Tebow was the keynote speaker for the event. 'The impression of the world that we live in is that the church is very divided and is not the place where people want to go for help, and we want to change that,' Tri-Cities Community Prayer Breakfast Board of Directors Chairman Tom King said. Review – Black Canary: Best of the Best #6
Black Canary: Best of the Best #6 cover, via DC Comics, Ray: What do you get when you combine a cutting look at the difficulty of navigating the American health care system with the most brutal fight comic in DC history? You get the latest Tom King deep dive into a superhero's psychology. For five issues, Black Canary has been taking an enormous amount of punishment from Lady Shiva in the ring, and dealing out almost as much, all to save her mother's life. She has to make it to round six, then surrender, to get the lifesaving cure from Vandal Savage. Each issue covers a round, and now we're here. There's just one problem – Shiva has put one of Dinah's best friends in the hospital and cruelly humiliated her at every turn, and now she wants revenge. And as the first bell of this round kicks off, it's not clear if the two of them will even survive to the final round bell, or if the fight will finally go to the point of no return. Watching and waiting. Via DC Comics. Amid the chaotic fight, there are some of those moments that make Tom King's writing so effective, particularly a brilliant one-sided argument as Dinah returns home while her mother languishes in a hospital bed, and essentially has a raging fight with the woman who has dominated her life in so many ways. This may be the best depiction I've ever seen of a how complicated mother-daughter relationships can be, as these two clearly have a deep love for each other but also drive each other absolutely insane. And that sets the stakes sky-high for the final bell, as Shiva humiliates Dinah one time too many, sending Dinah into a rage and leaving her with two objectives that can't possibly mesh with each other – or can they? This is one of the more divisive King books in recent memory (but then, when does he not create tense debates?), but I think it's the story Dinah's needed for a very long time.
