Have your say: Which out-of-contract players should Rangers keep?

With Rangers' season effectively over after a disappointing campaign, attentions at Ibrox will be turning to next term. A potential takeover is in the works and a permanent manager needs to be hired, but there are also some notable first-team players with deals expiring. Leon Balogun, Ianis Hagi and Tom Lawrence are all out of contract in the summer, while Vaclav Cerny is set to return to Wolfsburg when his loan ends. The Ibrox club also have an option to buy on-loan Feyenoord defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo, who impressed earlier this season and is just back from a long-term injury. We want your views on who Rangers should keep or let go - have your say.

Ridvan Yilmaz injury blow as Rangers star out for rest of season

Rangers have been dealt a huge injury blow after Barry Ferguson confirmed that defender Ridvan Yilmaz is out for the rest of the season. The Turkey international limped off after 23 minutes in the Europa League quarter final defeat to Athletic Bilbao earlier this month and Ferguson has now revealed that he won't kick a ball again in the final five post-split fixtures in the campaign, starting with St Mirren in Paisley on Saturday. The interim boss also confirmed that fellow crocked stars Dujon Sterling and Tom Lawrence are still facing a long spell on the sidelines, with centre back Leon Balogun will also be missing against the Buddies. He said: "Balogun is out, Ridvan is out, Sterling is out for a long period of time, Tom Lawrence is still out and there are one or two that only did parts of training yesterday." With Celtic on the verge of sealing sealing a fourth straight league title and with Gers out of all cup competitions, there isn't too much left to play for in the final weeks of the campaign. But Ferguson insists he is demanding his team give it everything in their last five games to finish the campaign on a high. He added: "I gave the team a few days off to reflect on a disappointing night (in Bilbao) - but this week has been positive. I have given them a challenge, we have five games to go and I want them to pick up every point that is available. "I have got five games left to go and my focus is on this - there have been bumps since coming in and I'm not frightened of that. This is my club and this is an opportunity I thought I would never get - it has been a brilliant experience and I enjoy the challenge." 'Wrexham among clubs eyeing Lawrence'

Numerous clubs in the UK, including Wrexham, and abroad are keeping a check on Tom Lawrence's situation as the 31-year-old Wales midfielder approaches the end of his Rangers contract but with the Ibrox club having the option to extend his stay by a year. (Daily Mail), externalNo plans have been put in place ahead of expected celebrations at the end of this year's football season despite a "productive discussion" last week after MSP Kaukab Stewart brought together community councils for Merchant City, Trongate and Calton and representatives for Celtic, Rangers, the Scottish Professional Football League, Police Scotland and Glasgow City Council in a bid to avoid the 'disruption' seen in previous years. Teenager Kai Andrews handed surprise call-up to injury-hit Wales squad for World Cup qualifiers

Coventry City teenager Kai Andrews is the surprise name in a Wales squad disrupted by injuries for the start of their World Cup qualifying campaign. Andrews, a Wales Under-19 international, is currently on loan at Motherwell and impressed in their Scottish Premiership victory at Rangers last weekend. The 18-year midfielder, who qualifies for Wales through his Abercarn-born grandmother, has made two senior appearances for Coventry and was sent out on loan by Sky Blues boss Frank Lampard in January to gain first-team experience. Wales start their World Cup campaign at home to Kazakhstan in Cardiff on March 22 before visiting North Macedonia three days later and will be without key figures. Manager Craig Bellamy has lost central midfielder Ethan Ampadu and attacker Harry Wilson, arguably Wales' two most important players, to injury. Captain Aaron Ramsey suffered suspected hamstring damage playing for Cardiff on Tuesday and has been replaced by Tom Lawrence. Rangers forward Lawrence has not played for Wales since a friendly win over Mexico in March 2021. Sheffield United defender Rhys Norrington-Davies and Ipswich winger Wes Burns, both present in November as Wales beat Turkey to top spot in their Nations League group, are unavailable after undergoing surgery. Swansea midfielder Ollie Cooper returns to the 26-man squad after injury. There are also recalls for Sheffield United goalkeeper Adam Davies, Coventry full-back Jay Dasilva and Rangers winger Rabbi Matondo, who is currently on loan at German club Hannover. Goalkeepers: Danny Ward (Leicester), Karl Darlow (Leeds), Adam Davies (Sheff Utd) Defenders: Ben Davies (Tottenham), Joe Rodon (Leeds), Chris Mepham (Sunderland, on loan from Bournemouth), Ben Cabango (Swansea), Connor Roberts (Burnley), Neco Williams (Nottingham Forest), Jay Dasilva (Coventry) Midfielders: Joe Allen (Swansea), Josh Sheehan (Bolton), Jordan James (Rennes), Ollie Cooper (Swansea), Kai Andrews (Motherwell, on loan from Coventry), Sorba Thomas (Nantes, on loan from Huddersfield), David Brooks (Bournemouth) Forwards: Tom Lawrence (Rangers), Kieffer Moore (Sheff Utd), Brennan Johnson (Tottenham), Dan James (Leeds), Liam Cullen (Swansea), Nathan Broadhead (Ipswich), Mark Harris (Oxford), Lewis Koumas (Stoke, on loan from Liverpool), Rabbi Matondo (Hannover, on loan from Rangers)
