Topping the list is the Ohio State Buckeyes. They led the conference with $262 million in athletic department operating expenses. The Huskers came in sixth in the Big Ten with $175 million in expenses. USC came in second at $242 million, with Michigan at third in expenses with $221 million. Purdue brought up the rear of the league with $117 million in expenses, with Northwestern in second-to-last with expenses of $124 million. We take a look at the spending budgets for each of the 18 teams in the Big Ten, in what has been an ever-changing landscape. The numbers are calculated in the millions.
