GONZALES, La. (Louisiana First) — The Gonzales Police Department is searching for two people wanted in connection with a shooting at a daiquiri shop over the weekend. Police have issued arrest warrants for Henry Lee Hasten III and Dominique S. Bassett. Authorities believe the pair is tied to the shooting outside Top Notch Daiquiris at 3005 S. Cabela's Parkway on Sunday, June 1. Officers were called to the scene shortly after midnight after a fight escalated into gunfire. A large crowd was in the parking lot at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported. Police say multiple guns were discharged, and aggravated damage to property occurred. Hasten was seen participating in a fight inside the business before exiting to the parking lot. Gonzales police say he later fired a shot from the passenger side of his vehicle while leaving the area. Hasten has an extensive criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous. According to authorities, Hasten drives a black 2014 Dodge Challenger. Bassett was observed retrieving a firearm from his vehicle and shooting it at the person involved in the altercation before leaving the area. He is currently on probation for firearm-related offenses and has an extensive criminal history. He is also considered armed and dangerous.
